"Laz?!"

Right before I knew it I was tackled down the south. Good thing floor-kun catch me.

"Omo, Where have you been? I was so worried sick! What where you thinking jumping off running in the woods at night?! You know people sleeps in the woods? Psychopaths!" She was shaking me violently to the point I'm seeing doubles. For hell's sake, someone put leash on this madwoman!

"Nana, I think you just killed her." He say sweat dropping but his lush eyes glints with amusement. I saw that!

It took me a glass of water for Nadedja finally let me off the hook after explaining to why I left and of course I made excuses but not all of it was a lie. I am moving away and probably transferring to other school.

My thoughts began to wonder blocking the sound from the background.

My psychiatrist say it's because my mind is emptier than most.

Nadedja Dain Xion

Dominic Nathan Xion

How could I've missed that? =_="

I really need to put aside my personal frustrations for the sake of my line at work. They made us to stay for dinner.

I blame the winter for bringing late dawns and early sunset. Not to be rude and most certainly not because Nadedja won't let us out of the house, we agreed. Thank Deus she was not doing the cooking. The three enjoyed talking in the table -mostly just Nadedja and Jewel for he is the sociable type- Dominic occasionally give side comment in the conversation then continue on eating but I caught stolen glimpses from him from time to time. And the feeling is mutual. Threats should not be left unsupervised. After the not-so-awkward meal they called it a night.

"Hey L, shouldn't we report to Dr. Kenzō? We know who's the thief is."

Jewel reminded me once we drove off. I turned on the heater before grabbing the blanket from the back seat. This will be a long night.

"Neither of them I trust."

Mostly the client. For all we know cutout's role was to act as a protective connection between an agent and various subagents. Something tells me there is more in the story than the stolen unstable remedy. This practice preserved security for the agent since, most of the time, a subagent never even learned the identity of his agent.

"Now that you've mentioned why they'd come up with project: Resurreccioun? They already knew how dangerous it is, right?" Rhetorically he say, teal orbs clouded with confusion knitting his brows. He looks lost deep in thoughts.

"And also... is that greenette babe free for mingle?" Boys will be boys.

An audible hit from a left hook punch echoes inside the car. Hope it'll leave a bruise.

The car maneuver through the narrow streets and circle back on an alley hidden few blocks from the Xions house for a stakeout.

"By the way I've placed a mic and two covet cameras while you two were under a trance hating each other."

He turned on the radio that is link with the mic he put in their house while his free hand massage his throbbing cheek. We can hear their every conversations as long within the hearing range of the device.

He may be the slacker type but when it comes at work the guy is damn reliable.

"Did you find who he worked for?" I pop the third gum inside my mouth because he strictly warned about the 'no crumbs, no spills' rule on his baby.

Gavinn's nature close to OCD is rubbing off of him.

"Apparently the CEO of the company is none other than Han, the Han Zaizen." With the tone of his voice he is implying the guy is well known. I burst the bubble I made. Shrugging my shoulders. Not that I care.

"Well then track him."

"The guy have been dead for a year, L"

"Oh..." I blink dumbfounded. "Well that's messed up. Who is then managing those white rats?"

"Uhh... white what now?" He cocked his head on the side.

"Potatoes in white lab coat."

I lowered the binoculars for just a second, looked at them as though seeing it for the first time, trying to pretend not hearing him, and then put them back to my eyes.

"...When did potatoes wore lab coats?"

I palm faced.

Deus forbid me to bash your head in the stirring wheel.

───────•••───────

The fourth yawn climb out of my lips and stretched my arms for better blood circulation. It was already dawn and the temperature is rising when I spotted a familiar ebony mop head opened the garage door. For a second there I thought the spice won't come out. I threw the binoculars at my companion square in the face to wake him from his beauty sleep.

"Aray yawa!"

"More driving, less glaring. Mr. Pepper is on the move."

"C'mon man, careful with the face! You're lucky your hot." He muttered the latter part but I still caught it. Let's pretend I'm deaf and didn't heard him.

Moving on, we tailed his Mercedes Benz while keeping distance to avoid suspicion. Not far from the next block slipped the slick crimson Renault in behind the Mercedes Benz. The red light made all vehicles pull out into traffic ahead including ours. The vehicles are now piling up.

Into what to anyone else would appear to have been natural traffic flow and interchange, the Renault was directly in front of Mr. Pepper. We argued to call him Bean or Pepper but screw him cause I'm not calling our target Mr. Bean.  =_=;

"They communicate with their cars."

"Their cars?"

"At the stop ahead, that's where it'll start." I smirked as the line of cars slowed. Either by luck or coincidence the pavement was wet. Clumsy, but right in front of our noses! "Perhaps you will read the message for us. We can't stay right behind them too long. He's a careful one."

They didn't use cutout's sufficiently or effectively so that when one caught, the domino effect was very damaging.

Naive method of communication.

"Message? Start? Ay pisti. Oi! don't leave me hanging!" He was sweating with anticipation.

It occurred to me for only the first time that Jewel probably had no out door experience at all.

House nerd.

"What's the matter. Is it the Morse?"

"Of course not! I know Morse!" He snapped. " I don't... It's just that... How did you know it's Morse?" I stared at him in disbelief.

"Under the fucking car, Gakuen.

Look. Under. The. Bloody. Fucking. Car."

───────•••───────

"You sure this is the address?" With an incredulous stare I listen to his up coming explanation.

His excuse better be worth wasting breath or else I'll personally gut him inside the funeral home we're keeping eye on. The car was parked in there. I checked the plate number but found no clue about the owner.

"Have a little faith in me okay. When did I ever failed you anyway?" The devil shrugged and laid back in his seat.

"Let's see... you didn't gas the car when we where supposed to follow that Renault yesterday." Good thing I'm wise enough to use a rental car and payed it with bills to avoid being track back after Gakuen didn't showed up in our meeting place.

"A man needs his breakfast." He defended.

"So you ate the whole menu to take five fucking hours in McDonald's?"

"I'm only a human! The temptation was that strong, okay!"

"There's a drive-through for a reason."

"But that girl was my ex. If she saw me she'll great me with boiling frying oil!"

"Same excuse with the rest fast food stop I presume?"

"I did get us free wings and chili fries in KFC." Yeah and swallowed the whole thing. Greedy bitch.

"In exchange of my number!"

"Take a chill pill. You got no phone remember." He made the bitch face. I crack my knuckles.

"Smart move dumbass. Giving him our business line for free food."

"Oh... Oops?"

He hadn't enough time to react when my wrath hit him. Let's just say that he would be sleeping for the next hours with four lumps in his head. Pinching the bridge of my nose I sighed. This guy shall be the death of me.

I tried the radio to Mr. Pepper's house but all I could hear is Nadedja's voice so I turned if off. I thought she said she'll go back in Pusan? Finally the front door opened revealing the son of a bitch owner of the Renault where following.

"Gavinn?"
