Joan stared daggers at him. Why was he choosing to be unreasonable? What was so special about this place anyway? Why couldn't he just agree to move out so that they could get a new place? Several times in the past, Steve had told her stories of how he brought back girls from the club and how they had sex on his couch, his bed and different parts of his apartment, including on his dinning table, and even on top of the freezer in his goddamn kitchen!

Now he wanted her to come live in the same house with him? How? There was no way she could look at those places he told her he had sex with other women without her having to imagine what he did with them and not feel gross about it.
