Chapter 29. Bolani

Two cars stopped in front of a building in Afghanistan and another group of people were standing outside waiting for them. The door opened and Jason emerge from the car wearing a white t-shirt on a jeans trousers. The other group instantly came to welcome him.

"Nice to finally meet you in person Mr. Hughes," the leader of the group said who was in his forties.

"Same here " Jason replied shaking his hand.

"Shall we?" The man said showing them directions.

They both walked ahead with their men following behind them with great momentum. They entered a room with some men with them.

"I don't want to waste your time, so let's get down to business," the man said.

His men brought out their plan draft and spread it out on the table for everyone to see.

"This is where they stashed their goods," the man said pointing to a location on their draft.

" But they are hiding here, so they won't draw too much attention to them " he added.

"So... our men? Where are they? "Jason asked him.

"Some are stationed here and here " the man pointed out the location.

"Hmmm. That's good"Jason replied. "Did you arrange what I asked you?"

"Yes, the mole is already inside. He informed us that t h e

deal will be going down tonight and I think that's our chance"

"Do you think he will be there tonight?" Jason asked him.

"I'm sure of it. This has Finn's name written all over it. He will be there to make sure everything goes smoothly " the man assures Jason.

"Okay, let's wait till nightfall " Jason replied.

"In the meantime, let me properly welcome you to my home. My wife has prepared a feast, so let's enjoy ourselves"

"Okay, Abdul" Jason replied with a smile.

They all went out of t h e

room and to a big door standing between them and the main house. One of Abdul's men opened the door and they were warmly welcomed by his family.

"This is my wife Raina and my three beautiful daughters. Asal, Damsa, and Esin" Abdul said proudly. And he was right to be proud cause they are indeed beautiful with their smooth skin and slim body. It's like they were goddesses in human form, especially the eldest. Asal.

"And this is my son Ali. He will be taking over the business when I retire" he said putting his hand on his shoulder.

"Everyone, this is Jason Hughes. He's our guest for tonight. Please treat him and his companies like family". Abdul said to his family.

"We will Father" Ali replied.

"Please show them to their room to get some rest. I'm sure dinner will be ready by then" Abdul said waving his daughters to go on.

Asal led Jason to his room.

"This will be your room I hope it is to your liking," Asal said politely. At a closer look, one can see that she's not only just beautiful but, delicate and pure making one feel at ease around her.

"please let me know if you need anything " Asal added.

"Okay," Jason replied sitting on the couch.

Because of the long flight, Jason was a bit tired. He stood up from the couch and took off his clothes before going inside the bathroom. He felt himself relax under the cold water.

Then he saw the bit mark on his shoulder and his mind

wandered off to what happened the other day, and a smile appeared on his lips. He missed her already and he just couldn't wait to get back to her. He missed her sweet scent and her beautiful smile. He wants her so badly.

When he was finally done, he came out with a white towel tightly tied around his waist. He was surprised to see a new set of clothes neatly folded on the bed he was sure they weren't

there before. "That only means that Asal came back to the room," he thought.

After changing into the new set of clothes, Jason went downstairs to meet the others.

"Oh! You're back. Come, sit here" Abdul called him to the dining table."

My wife made all these dishes herself. Take, try this one" Abdul showed him one of the dishes. "It's called bolani, one of our traditional dishes trust me you'll love it," Abdul said excitedly.

"Okay," Jason replied before picking up the fork.

"No, you don't eat it with a fork but w I t h your hands," Asal said to him from the side.

"You mean I should use my hands?" Jason asked her looking confused.

"Yes. You will enjoy it more "

Jason dropped his fork still not sure if it was a good idea. He picked up the flatbread and cut out

a little and dips it inside the soup or whatever it is that was inside the small plate, placed beside the bread.

Jason looked at Abdul before taking a bit. His expression immediately changed after testing it.

"Good right?" Asal asked him.

"Yeah. It is" Jason agreed with her.

They all ate and joked about a lot of things like one big happy family.

Laura has been busy with work since morning. She never knew that this new job would be a lot more stressful than being an assistant to Jason. She sat down lazily feeling exhausted.

"How's your project coming on?" Kate asked Laura.

"Good, I guess?"

"So tell me, how was the house, " Kate asked waiting for a good gist.

"It's like paradise. Did you know she lives alone in that big house? She must have been so

bored I guess that's why she was so excited when she saw me" Laura said smiling to

herself.

"I guess so...? Since she lost her husband and son in an accident " Kate said sadly.

"Wait! You mean Jason had a brother?" Laura was shocked.

"Yes"

Then Laura flashed back to when Cecelia told her about others Jason grew up with but refused to mention the fourth person.

"Didn't you know about it? It was all over the news at that time". Kate was surprised that her friend knew nothing about it.

"I guess that's why they never spoke of him". Laura thought to herself.

A few minutes later, Jane came to meet Laura to check if everything was in order.

"Are you done with the designs?" Jane asked Laura.

"Yes, but I think you should check it out first," Laura said before she adjusted her computer screen so

that Jane can see it.

"Well it's great but I think we need to make some changes here. The color is not suitable.

"I think you're right "

the moment they were done with the changes a smile broke out on their faces.

"Perfect" they both echoed.

"Okay let's show it to Sarah," Jane said excitedly.

"Wait! Let me first send it to her first"

"I don't remember calling for you guys. What are you doing here?" Sarah asked the duo who just

entered her office.

"We came to show you the project ". Jane spoke up.

"No need, I will only see when it is ready," Sarah said before going back to her work.

"That's why we are here. We are done with it".

"Really? I thought it would take up to two days. Bring it to let me see "

"We've already sent it to you" Jane replied.

Sarah checked through her inbox. Her eyes lit up when she saw their work she believe that this

two people who are always at odds would make such a perfect team.
