In the jungle of Akunomori, a boy of five wakes up cold, unclad, and scared. Unable to remember his past and his name, he searches for safety amid the ghostly hoots and howls of the nocturnal. As he cautiously inches ahead, a pack of massive wolves appears. To his surprise, they escort him to the safety of a cave, where he meets an ancient man. In the safe refuge, the boy gets a place to rest, clothes to wear, food to eat, and a name—Mizuno. As time goes by, Mizuno meets curious creatures who challenge human logic. Under their tutelage, he learns the ways of the jungle and gradually discovers his hidden abilities. However, it seems the key to unlocking his dormant abilities is hidden in the memory of his past. The danger and death in the jungle slowly rub off the innocence of his childhood. Meanwhile, far away from Mizuno, in the city of Ayodale, a seven-year-old girl, the lone survivor of the incident, regains her senses. The terrified little girl tries to remember her past. Her doctor-in-charge, Juli Emerson, adopts and gives the child a name, Suho, after her late daughter. To her awe, she finds that her adopted girl also has the same strange illness that killed her own daughter. Is it a mere coincidence, or is there something more to it? A witch from a vicious cult, in an effort to find a prophesied boy, binds a powerful jinn to Suho. Was that it or does she have a hidden agenda against Dr. Juli? Three other entities want to capture Suho to learn about the incident. What will happen to her now? The Tomboyish Girl - Part 2

#In a Motel room somewhere in Ayodale City

The young girl was to observe the target from very close proximity. Learn what the target knows. She was also supposed to protect the target from threatening elements until she could give her all the information she needed. After that, the next mission would be decided.

She rummaged through the contents of the bag: a set of fake IDs, a hardware crypto wallet with a few hundred thousand NorCrypto, the official crypto stablecoin of the Kingdom, some hard cash for an emergency, a suppressed 0.22 caliber Ruger Mark IV, a few boxes of untraceable bullets for the piece, and a few fake passports.

Although her mission was only to observe, she might need that thing for emergency protection. On the box, there was a note: "Make bullets count. This is all you get!"

So, there would not be any more supply of ammo if she ran out somehow. This note emphasized how stealthy her mission was. She smiled a bit.

She took the folio and sat on the couch, a few feet away from the bed.

"Hmm, let's have a look!" She started reading.

"What? She is just a little girl! What do they expect me to do? Is she that important?"

There was a newspaper cutting: "Mysterious Black Fire in Akunomori, Missing Village, One Survivor." She read the news report.

"That's really mysterious! If she isn't the cause of the fire, how and why was she alive when everything else was destroyed?"

"Hmm...where is she now?" She kept reading.

"What! A hospital? Do they want me to infiltrate a hospital? I could just walk straight, and no one would even check!"

She read some more about the security details. She smiled again.

"What are they doing? There is hardly any security around the girl! Why are they not guarding her properly? What can just a normal police officer do to prevent an attack on the girl?"

She read more.

"What have they found a job for me at the hospital? Hmm, what kind of job?"

She kept reading, "What? A cleaner?" Her prestige was seriously hurt. "I have to be a cleaner! Come on! At least make me a nurse! I have the training!" She called her handler.

"Hey! Why am I a cleaner?"

".....What? No!! At least make me a nurse or something! Come on! You can do that!"

"...Oh! You are giving this so later it won't be hard to change the disguise I needed?"

".....Okay! I get it. Bye!" She ended the call and threw the phone on the bed in frustration.

"A cleaner! Whatever, I don't know!"

There was nothing much to do with the rain outside. She lay down on the couch and closed her eyes. She soon fell asleep. She had a lot of work to do.

#Peer 666

"Ah! This shitty rain! It's ruining my day!" said Dabria as she sat down on the comfortable sofa in the club room of Peer 666. "Disgusting! This is why I hate the one sitting up there! No care for the people in the world!"

Hanuel was looking at the rain as if he were spellbound. With Dabria's complaint, he came back to reality from his reverie, "Sorry..what?" He looked at Dabria, confused.

"We have good news, my dear Knights! I have secured what was required." Nicolau brought out a package from his desk drawer.

It was a metal box—square-shaped, smooth faces, black, and plain-looking. It was a custom-built platinum box of excellent quality. However, the main attraction was that it had all forms of biometric locks built in. It was programmed to memorize multiple biometric records.

"Here, open it!" Nicolau pushed the box toward Dabria. Dabria walked to the desk and sat on a chair.

"So...I just do what I do at the entrance?" She looked at Nicolau holding the box.

"Go ahead! You will be surprised!" He smiled.

Dabria brought the box near her eye. It automatically scanned her retina and confirmed, "Retinal scan successful. Next...fingerprint."

Dabria compiled, "Scan successful. Next, " Please say, All Hail the Dark Lord."

Debria complied, "Voice recognition is successful... Next...DNA... Please push your thumb on the button."

Debria complied again and felt a prick on her fingertip. "Thank you for your patience. User Authorized: Dabria Fu Box opening.." The box mechanism was unlocked.

"What a drag! Tell me you did this just for fun, right?" Debria was annoyed.

"Hahahahaha. I wanted to see your reaction. Priceless." Nic laughed.

"So, what is...?" Debria looked inside. "Oh! Is it what I think it is? From the girl?"

"Exactly..!" This time Haneul replied, "I sent one of my minions. She did it perfectly! No harm is done to us! We prevail! Once again!"

Debria sighed. "Why are you so excited? Anyway, I gotta go! The jinn-binding ritual takes a lot of effort and time. You enjoy the bloody rain. See you guys!" Dabria stood and took her leave.

"You think it was okay to keep the little pest alive?" Haneul was skeptical. "What is the point in keeping a ticking time bomb alive?"

"Just wait! We need to be patient to succeed."Nic took a sip from her tea cup.

It was evening, and there was no sign of rain stopping any time soon.

#The Royal Family of Nordurljos

Ayodale City was situated in the bigger Ayodale province. Every province in Nordurljos was further divided into numerous districts, and each of the districts was divided into towns of varying sizes.

Ayodale City is divided into fifty suburbs. While King El Bakko's palace was situated in the central district of Al Dahi, his brother's palace was in a different suburb far away from Al Dahi, in Acheng.

The former King of Nordurljos, El Hakim, left the throne to his firstborn, El Bakko; however, his second son, El Bongani, did not like it. He was ambitious and had dangerous ideologies.

The father was wise. To him, a king should not be ambitious but very down to earth, humble, and not crazy for power. Power should not be demanded but given to the worthy. Those who wanted power did not deserve power.

El Hakim's ideology was, "The people who worship power and seek it blindly do not deserve it."

He knew how his second son was—ambitious and a tyrant. That was the reason he left the throne to the first son. El Bakko was more of a scholar, a lover of beauty and knowledge. He loved art, philosophy, and science.

On the other hand, El Bongani loved war, weaponry, and black magic. He was completely devoid of the spiritual quality that his elder brother had. Since the coronation, El Bongani has been eyeing opportunities to dethrone his big brother through any means possible.

He even sought help from international mercenaries and terrorist groups. Whenever he had the opportunity, he would disturb the peace and harmony of the nation. His jealousy made him blind.

He wanted to rule, yet he tormented the very people he wanted to be the king of. He did not care if the general population suffered; if his brother, the King, suffered even for a bit, he was happy.

Today, he had a mysterious guest at his palace.
