Norman is
feeling uneasy since the video call he did with Saffran 2 days ago. They will
leave Riverside tomorrow as all the problems are solved. His mom didn't say
anything to him about what she talked with them. But Norman doesn't care. He
has bigger problems. Like this uneasy feelings.
Just by
thinking about Saffran, Norman's heart flutters uncontrollably. He can't think
about his future days without Saffran. It pains him a lot. Also Saffran is now
talking with Jess frequently. He can't stand it. That painful feeling in his
gut is so uncomfortable that Norman can't even escapes from it.
He can't
bear it. It's so overwhelming that its starting to invade his mind fully. So he
does what he usually does. That to talk with his mom. His mom is his best friend.
Whenever Norman faces any problem he first discloses it with his mom. His mom
never judged him. When he told his mom that he liked boys too his mom just
smiled at him saying 'Whatever you like your mom will always support you.' And
Norman can't ask more. He has the best mom ever.
Norman goes
to his mom's room tiptoeing. It's night time and they will leave tomorrow
morning but Norman is feeling too heavy with this feeling that he wanna share
it with someone right now. They gave his mom a small guest room to stay. He
knows his mom is not sleeping as the light of the room is turned on. He
carefully opens the door as his mom didn't lock it.
His mom is
reading a book on the bed. When she looks up Norman gives her a nervous smile.
"Son. You want something?" Norman nods his head. "Mom. I wanna talk about
something." "Sure. Come inside dear." His mom closes the book and puts it on
the bed side. "What happened?" She asks running his finger though his luscious
hair.
"Mom. You
know...I've been meeting with this guy for a while at my school." Norman doesn't
say the name cause he knows his mom doesn't like Saffran very much. His mom
nods. "We spent a lot of time together which was fun. But now I've this weird
feeling of keeping him all for myself. I wanna be with him in future together,
do things together." His mom smiles. She kisses on his forehead and says,
"You're in love baby."
Norman's
eyes grows wide. Love? How? When? Norman didn't realize he's falling for him unconsciously.
But Saffran is straight? He strictly said no string should attach. Hell even
his doings indicate that he wants nothing more from Norman. "B-but mom....He is
straight." Norman doesn't know when a tear slipped from one of his eyes. "Oh
dear." His mom wipes his tear. "Listen sweetie. Sometimes you have to be honest
with your feelings. So what he's straight? You can confess to him to see how he
react. If he doesn't reciprocate your feelings then you'll move on. I know it'll
be hard but then those pent up feeling wont burden you anymore." Norman didn't
think it that way. "But mom...what if he doesn't wanna be even friends with me
after I confess? "He cant help but ask. He knows Saffran's temper. He may again
cut off their friendship. "Then he isn't worth your time." His mom grins. Norman
feels light now. After discussing it with his mother.
"Okay. I'll
try." "That's my boy. Now go to sleep. We have to leave early tomorrow." His
mom kisses his forehead and Norman kisses back on her cheek.
Now that his
mom said its okay to confess Norman doesn't wanna wait for tomorrow. And he
wont be able to say it face to face. So with utmost courage he takes his phone.
Saffran is
still active on messenger. He messages him quickly.
N: Hi.
Saffran
instantly replies.
S: Hey. When
r u comin back?
Since that
day Saffran is continuously bugging him to come back. Norman cant help but feel
ecstatic hearing his urgency.
N: Tmrw.
N: I need to

Saffran sees
the message.
S: Go head.
N: I know
it's so sudden and you won't probably like it but....
