Chapter 7: A Deal of Mutual Benefit

She no longer believed Fiona's fibs about being a fiancée; it was nothing but a ruse Fiona concocted to send her to Leo's place. But this was exactly what she wanted.

Getting married would mean having to deal with his family and friends, and then the hassle of divorce later on. But just being his woman for a while meant only dealing with him, and then parting ways easily. Oh, by then, he might even be in jail.

Hearing the conversation, Leo finally came back to his senses and scrutinized the woman standing not too far away.

It was her!

Heh, as if fate had led her straight to him without any effort. He had thought that he might have to dig three feet into the ground to find her.

"You, I want you!" With that authoritative declaration, he turned and walked back to the main house.

"Eh? Brother Leo, why?" Molly asked, annoyed and in pursuit.

Leo kept walking forward, ignoring her entirely.

Sophia, puzzled, had been planning in her mind how to charm Leo to agree to keep her. Yet, he decided he wanted her after just one glance. Did he recognize her? Was he attracted by her charm at the casino? Sophia wasn't vain enough to think so.

Still, she followed him.

Kyle was there too, so upon seeing Sophia enter, he happily said, "President Leo, you agree with the old master's decision to marry Miss Sophia?"

Molly felt her nerves cracking: "Kyle, what do you mean, Grandpa Leo chose another fiancée for Leo, and it's this woman? Why, why doesn't grandpa ever choose me?"

Sophia was equally confused, pondering if she really had a marriage arrangement with this Leo.

"Grandpa Leo's taste has really gone downhill, choosing such a person for Brother Leo. I won't allow it," Molly exploded, throwing a fit.

Kyle, always respectful of Mr. Leo, looked displeased. "Miss Lin, the old master's judgment isn't flawed, please show some respect to Miss Sophia."

"You... Hmph!"

Then, Leo stood up, approached Sophia, lightly lifted her chin, and stated coldly, "Molly isn't entirely wrong. Not just any woman can be my fiancée. I brought this woman in just to sleep with her for a while."

Sophia's eyes widened. "Shameless!"

"Oh? Shameless? How am I shameless?" Leo tightened his grip on her chin, "Aren't you here to seek something from me, to sleep with me?"

Originally, Sophia had been resisting his hold, but at his words, she let go.

Yes, wasn't this her purpose here? What's there to be pretentious about now?

Yet, whether he'll succeed is another matter. After being unwillingly taken for the first time by a man she didn't know, she was filled with resentment. She wouldn't let another man touch her.

So, she smiled.

"As long as President Leo understands. I hope we both get what we're here for, and then go our separate ways," she stated coolly.

Molly rolled her eyes at the side, thinking: How could they go their separate ways after getting what they want? Which woman doesn't try everything to cling to Brother Leo, dreaming of turning into a phoenix?

Kyle and Fiona were surprised by Sophia's words, but Leo wasn't. That day at the casino, she was confident and proud – even in defeat, she left gracefully. Later, even when drugged by him, she was unyielding, locking him up and leaving with her dignity intact.

She was a woman who would not submit to any man from the bottom of her heart.

However, he really wanted to break her spirit, to make her submit to him, he wickedly thought.

Since it's all about mutual benefits, everything is negotiable. Leo asked about Sophia's needs. Glancing at Fiona, who stuttered a bit but added an extra ten million to the request.

"Just getting my brother healed is enough, why do you need so much money?" Sophia argued.

"For your brother's treatment, it... it definitely requires money," Fiona said, her gaze darting, somewhat guilty.

"We don't need that much, I can't pay it back..."

"Fine, ten million!" Leo suddenly interjected. He wanted her unable to pay it back.

Sophia looked at him, surprised. Was he that easy-going, as if he had money to burn?

Leo raised his eyebrow, looking at her, a deep smile on his face.

Sophia felt like a fox was watching her.

Soon, Kyle came with a cheque. Leo casually filled it out and gestured for Kyle to hand it to Fiona. Fiona happily accepted it, her satisfied gaze tinged with a bit of greed.

"Kyle, contact John, make sure he cures Miss Sophia's brother," Leo ordered.

"Yes!"

Fiona, cheque in hand, left happily, without even glancing at Sophia.

Molly sat on the couch, legs crossed, arms wrapped around herself, coldly saying, "There are actually mothers in the world who sell their daughters so straightforwardly for the sake of their sons!"

She said this to mock Sophia, but Sophia, hearing it, was unmoved.
