Chapter 1

'When you declared me a missing person on national radio,you also attracted bounty hunters my way,love.I was on my way back to you my king when I got abducted.I was blind folded and got on a black mask.What I didn't know is that that would be the last day I would see natural light;the abductors took me across the country and in three days we were at the Mexican border.

I gathered that from the tidbits my abductors -who I also learnt were members of an Italian Mafia group -once in a while let slip...'

Sunny tore the written page from her notebook and tossed it across the dimly lit bedroom or cell.It's where she slept and kept under guard unless she was using the bathroom.Either way,it served it's purpose.The tossed piece of paper wasn't the first she had written with no actual way of sending it to it's intended recipient.And prior to that,she hadn't been the one who tore the letters from her notebook.

Movement from her swollen tummy brought her back to the unnerving reality.The feather light caresses were almost ticklish and a small smile spread on her ashen dry lips.

She was approximately seven months pregnant,almost a year into captivity.It still amazed her how she had kept track of all that time.

Something else that amazed her was that no matter the circumstances her baby was made,she couldn't hate it.On the contrary, it's the only thing that had kept her sane the past seven months.

Sunny loved the baby that grew inside her, precisely why she was rubbing up and down the her bump at the moment.

Sunny momentarily stopped her hand mid rub when a figure loomed at her room's entrance.Her senses jumped to alert as she figured it was time for her meal.Normally,one of the boys that stood on guard for her brought her food.But in the past couple of weeks,the guy in charge,Lion;also responsible for he pregnancy had taken up the chore.She smiled to herself at the thought...'The guy responsible for her pregnancy,the all mighty king Lion'.And she highly doubted the guy even noticed her condition.

The only time he showed any emotion was when he tore Sunny's letters in her face after reading them.That's when his grip on the piece of paper would harden and his jaw tick.

Sunny stood up from her makeshift bed and went to bend to pick the tossed letter.

"You shouldn't be bending like that in your condition."

Sunny's knees almost gave in from the deep smoky voice.Its owner had been the object of her torment since she stepped foot there,wherever there was.Under normal circumstances,she would have asked him to pardon."I'll take care of that."Lion replaced the letter in her sweaty hands with a bowl of what smelled like chicken soup.

Lion,like the name suggested was a big bully.

"I told you I'm no one special.Please let me go... I'm begging you."Sunny had unsuccessfully tried those lines a million times over the months.

"You're right.You are no one special but you have something that belongs to me sweetheart."His smouldering silver gray eyes dropped to her swollen abdomen briefly then up."So you're going nowhere!"He spoke with finality in thick Italian accent.Her heart literally dropped to her stomach as he tore the letter not bothering to read it as norm.Its like he already knew what was written.
