Chapter 32 Akshara’s Insecurities 4

Akshara goes inside her house. She asks her maid where her father is. She heard he was in the garden. He was taking care of his Laurel plants near the pond. She goes up to him and carefully look over him as if this the first time she is seeing him. She doesn't make a sound for a long time.

When Ayden finishes his gardening, he saw his daughter looking at him. Since she doesn't make a sound or any gesture, he notices that her daughter is lost in her own thoughts. He goes up to her and says, "Darling, its evening and it's getting colder, what are you doing here? You will catch a cold. Let's go".

Akshara holds her father's hand and asked, "Papa I am missing my mom. I don't even remember her touch, sound or smell, I miss her this much, and I can't imagine how much you miss her? You knew her, you knew everything, every little things about her. Do you also feel sometimes like you are suffocating?"

He smiles and says, "No, never. Her memories are enough for me to live my life. I still remember her face, her every things, how she moved her eyes, or her way of walking or way of talking.

The first time I met her on orientation day, I feel like its yesterday. Her memories never suffocates me. I miss her like crazy, sometimes I feel empty but then I remember that she gave me you, the most precious gift. I never feel alone and empty."

"Papa I wish he is like you, just like you, who loves even in my absence. Do you think he is a guy with your shadow?" says Akshara.

"As far as I know from talking with him on the phone, he is a responsible guy. He really protects you. He knows how to respect elders and he knows we are worried about you, so he understand a father's worries. I don't know if he is like me or not but I think he really cares about you. Isn't that love, darling?"

He then speaks again, "Darling, love ask for sacrifices. You may have to sacrifice a lot of relations and things for the sake of love. Loving is easy but fulfilling a responsibility and keeping that love is just harsh. Love is challenging sometimes because of your own feeling and sometimes because of external factors like families, friends, health, wealth, and many more.

Love itself is never easy but lovers do that with love. Love is complicated. I don't want anyone to have challenges in love like your mother and I. She made her sacrifices and I made mine. I love her and I want her to know I will keep loving her."

She says, "Papa I am sure, she knows you love her."

Then she says, "Papa will you be disappointed if I do something without asking you?"

He says, "Do you want to do whatever you are going to do? Look darling many things I don't know how to say to you. At that time I think if she was here, it would have been easier for you to communicate with her. I cannot tell many things from women's perspective but I know how and what the man thinks. So if you think you will be happy doing that then I am here for you always when you are need."

She says, "Thank you Papa. I love you the most in this world."

He says, "I love you the most too."

The next day, Akshara wears her mother's dress which she designed years ago. The dress is beautiful and stylish today too as of that time. She goes to her father and hugs him. She doesn't say anything but he understood everything. She is wearing the most precious dress which belonged to her mother. He said to himself, "She is going to leave me soon."

He hides his tears. He says, "Good luck Darling". He doesn't look at her and enters inside his room. She also knows in her heart that her father senses something. She wishes to get married in the presence of her whole family but then she thinks, "I will get married in a wedding dress, walking down the aisle holding my father's hand after I graduate. Yeah, that's going to be great."

It may seem weird that they wanted to get married soon without saying anybody anything but they just can't lose each other in the course of growing up because of change of heart, a bit of misunderstanding, family affairs, and more. They have seen their parent's love life, it might be because of that they are being selfish for their own sake.
