Chapter 10 Father-in-law and Son-in-law

Without hesitation or being scared he takes the phone from her hand and he smiles and says, "Don't worry. I will talk with him."

He goes to the window and speaks, "Hello Sir. Even before he could tell his name Ayden speaks, "Look young man, I have been in your age once, so all love and stuffs I know about them. For you she might be a woman or love for some time or just one woman among all those women but for me she is life, she is everything. Look future may not be what we are expecting or what we want but what I want you to be sure about is whether it is for a time being or for the eternal. I don't want to scare you but being a father I can't allow anyone hurt my daughter.

Since my daughter trust you to this extent, this means you have known each other quite some time so I think you have known her quite well. I have never allowed any pain or suffering to come her way, so yeah she has never seen the real world, I cannot hide her always that's why I let her do what she wants. This is the first time she ever showed interest in a man so I think she found her prince charming which she picked from those fairy tales she heard in her childhood. So I hope you can cherish her, love her and be there for whenever she is in need.

I might be talking a lot but I hope you understand this father's fear and insecurities. She didn't have her mother so I may not be able to teach her many things a mother could have. And lastly I want to remind you again if you think you will not be able to think about a future with Akshara, you better leave my daughter now. And yeah forgive me for my rudeness gentleman."

Leo speaks, "Well sir, you don't have to be sorry because that shows your love towards Akshara. She talks about you and her mother a lot. As I heard from her your and her mother's love story, she believes in love because of you guys. She respects and loves you a lot. As you said she is so simple-minded and loves everyone, yeah she is like that. She never judges people and have compassion to everyone. So I want to be able to keep her that way as you did. I am not involved with her thinking for a short time but I love her and I will love her till my last breath. Love is not easy but for her I want to go all the way. I promise I will not hurt your daughter in any way. I hope one day I will make you believe in my love towards her and yeah I want to take her from you in the aisle where you will trust her to me for the lifetime."

Ayden says, "I like your honesty. I hope you remember your words. And if one day my daughter cried because of you, you will see this man's anger too. Hope to meet you soon gentleman. Take care of her for me. I am trusting her to you. Oh and happy birthday, many many happy returns of the day. If you ever think you need my help, you can remember me. And tell Akshara that papa loves her and I like you so that she will not worry much. I will invite you for dinner sometime in our home. Hope to meet you soon."

Leo says, "Thank you sir for trusting me and I will never let you regret this. And I definitely would love to meet you. Have a good evening sir."

Ayden cuts the call. Akshara is quite scared what her father tells Leo. Did both of them had a nice talk or did her father scared Leo. Leo turns with smiling face. Akshara is in deep thoughts and it seems she gets another glass of wine. He thinks she exceeds her limit of alcohol holding. He comes and takes a glass from her hand. She looks at him quite scared but seeing Leo smiles she is in relief.

She asks, "What did papa say? Did he scared you? Well even if he does remember it's because he loves me. When you meet him, you will know that he is the most loving, caring and cool person in this world. You will respect and love him."

He says, "Well he asked me to tell you that he likes me. And he has invited me for dinner sometime. I think he is a great man. He loves you more than anything."

Akshara denies that and says, "Well no, you are wrong."

Leo is surprised and looks in disbelief.

Akshara says, "You have never heard my father talk about my mother. If you hear him talk about her one day, you will think he loves her more than me."

Well Akshara is right, he loves her mother more than her.
