013 The New God Of The Village (2)

Aurelius looked at the new girls with a small smile on his face; he had already activated his skill, 'Divine Charm!' attracting the girls' curiosity. 

'I should stop heavily relying on this skill; after all, I will meet people who cannot be manipulated by my divine charm!' he mumbled inwardly as he decided to rely on his skill less and less. 

"Welcome, friends of Aria. She has said many things about you guys," Aurelius said, captivating the girls' hearts. 

 'What a beautiful voice!' one of the girls exclaimed as she listened to him. It sounded like divine music to her ears, soothing her heart from any reservations she had about this whole thing. 

Lily too looked at him curiously, her guard against him slowly crumbling one by one. 

Aurelius watched all this with a smile on his face. He then turned toward Sarah, who was standing beside him, and said, "Bring the woman." 

Sarah bowed her head toward him, accepting his command and went to the backside of the hut. 

Aurelius then turned to Aria and said, "Aria, why don't you introduce your friends to me until Sarah brings the woman?" The smile never left his face as he turned toward the girl, gazing at her one by one. 

Aria bowed to him just like Sarah did, making Lily and a few other girls frown. They may have lowered their guards, but that doesn't mean they lost their ability to think. 

'Why did she bow to him?' Lily asked herself. She remembered that Aria had told her about her new friend who had cured her. 

'Is he not her friend?' she asked herself as she frowned slightly; she focused on Aurelius and began to watch his every move. 

Aria turned toward her friends and began to introduce them, "This is Mira," she said, pointing toward a short girl with freckles dotting her face. 

She blushed as she felt his gaze on her, 'Kyaa! He is looking at me!' the girl yelled in her mind as she blushed heavily under Aurelius's gaze. 

Aurelius smiled as he bobbed his head at her and turned toward the next one. "She is Anna," Aria continued. 

Anna was a tall woman, unlike Mira, and had short, wavy brown hair. Her eyes wavered in hesitation as she looked at him, 'what's happening? I feel like I want him to own me forever!' 

Aurelius nodded at her, while noticing her wavering eyes, 'The reason Aria and Elara converted so easily was that they were desperate, desperate for help. Sarah was desperate because of her lust. But these girls have none of that; looks like I will have to work a little harder.' 

Aria continued with the introductions and Aurelius smiled at everyone; a few of them were sceptical of him while most were already smitten by him. 

Aurelius then turned to the last woman who was frowning at him. 

"She is Lily," Aria said while Aurelius raised an eyebrow at her. 'Interesting,' an amused smile formed on his face as he looked at her expression. 

'System, appraise her,' he mumbled inwardly.

'Yes,' Aurelius said, making the system screen in front of him show information about Lily's race and what made her immune to his divine charm.

Aurelius's breath quickened as he read the information, 'But system, it says that she is only resistant. Then why is she so guarded against me?' he asked in confusion. If she is only resistant, then she should be like the other girls who are resistant as well, but Lily wasn't like that.

Aurelius narrowed his eyes as he read the system message, 'This is going to be a problem!' 

But it wasn't because of Lily; 'I am 75% sure that I can convert her. But the problem is her succubus or incubus parent of hers!' 

As Aurelius was planning his next steps regarding Lily, Sarah entered the hut with an old woman. 

Only one word could be used to describe the old woman: Disgusting. 

Her back was hunched while her entire body was covered with pimples that were oozing pus. The smell of shit filled the room as the woman breathed. 

Aurelius was startled at the smell; he hasn't talked to her yet, and Sarah was the one who talked her into it. 

And it was quite easy for Sarah as she promised the old woman she would be cured of her disease and would be able to look beautiful again. 

Aurelius scrunched up his nose in disgust, but he immediately hid it. 'I cannot make any mistakes. Especially right now, after the stakes were raised.' He mumbled as he glanced at Lily. 

He then turned toward Sarah and nodded at her, making her contorted face brighten up. 

He then walked over to the old woman, who was gazing at him and scrutinizing him. 

"Are you the one who is going to heal me?" she asked, making all the women cover their ears while trembling in sheer disgust. 

They can't be blamed though, 'Her voice sounds like two metal plates screeching against a rock and a goat yelling from behind!' Aurelius mumbled while he tried his hardest to keep a straight face. 

"Yes, I am the one who is going to heal you. And I believe Sarah has mentioned what I want in return?" he asked as he turned toward Sarah; he didn't want to look at the old woman too much. 'I fear I might look at her in disgust if I gaze at her any longer.' 

"Yes, the little girl has explained to me." The old woman said while bobbing her head. Although she was skeptical, she wanted to give her life a final chance. 

'I hope he can really heal me as he claims. If he can't.....then I don't want to live like this any longer!' she mumbled inwardly. All this while she had given up on life, but when Sarah had talked to her earlier in the day, a small spark of hope bloomed in her heart. 

Aurelius then turned toward the woman, 'System appraise her!'

Aurelius frowned when he looked at the information about the old woman. 'System, tell me more about the curse!' he said immediately.

Aurelius's frown deepened when he noticed the cause, but he didn't hesitate when he recalled the old woman's level. 

'Yes,' Aurelius mumbled inwardly.

Effects of the curse: disfigurement, ugliness, and depression. 

Description: The curse used on the target is a demonic curse that makes the target become ugly. Her ugliness would be proportionate to her previous beauty; the prettier the target, the uglier she would become. This type of curse is generally used by succubi or incubi to curse their target's mate. 

Aurelius creased his brows as he read the information; an image of Lily immediately flashed in his mind. 'Looks like Lily's mother has cursed this woman,' he concluded. 

Griselda looked at Aurelius with hope as well as anxiety; she wanted to ask him if he could cure her or not, but she kept her silence when she noticed him frowning. 

'Looks like he can't treat me after all!' she mumbled as she bit her lip in frustration. Tears formed at the corners of her eyes while she desperately tried to hold them back. 

'I want to die!' she exclaimed inwardly. 'How can a woman even bear with this!' she yelled inwardly in frustration. 

Aurelius noticed her trembling shoulders and knew that she might be having a mental breakdown after he kept his silence, 'It must have been really hard on her!' He mumbled inwardly as he placed his hand on her shoulder. 

'System, how many faith points does it take to heal her?' he asked while gently rubbing her shoulders. Although he was disgusted by the pus that was sticking to his hand, he didn't stop.

Aurelius was now at a crossroads; he could heal her and earn 170 faith points, but, 'I would be losing 130 faith points overall. On the other hand, I will be gaining a powerful ally, who can help me gain more followers. What to do?' 

Aurelius thought about it for a few moments before he decided, 'Fuck it! I will do it!' 

'System, heal her!' he said resolutely as he placed both his hands on her shoulders. 

"I will heal you now!" he said, shocking not only her, but everyone in the room. 

"R-Really!?" Griselda stammered as she asked; she had lost all hope, but when she heard her, the spark that had died out lit again. 

"Ye-" But as Aurelius was about to reassure her, a new person entered the hut, "What's going on here?"
