Throughout most of the night I went on to practice my fire magic. I am hoping to make a breakthrough which I can learn from my adoptive family.
When the sun began to rise I went to sleep to get at least an hour or so of rest.
"Wake up boy. It's morning you should go and visit your family I'm sure Madelyn is worried about you," Eugenia said taking the blankets off me.
Stretching I replied, "Okay! I will go and see them now then, also is Madelyn my mother's name? I only got Luke because of the screaming."
"Oh dear, their fighting was so inappropriate I can't believe you had to witness that after you just woke up. But yes Madelyn is your new mother's name, Ralph is your father's, and your older brother which you already know Luke," Eugenia said with a slight smile.
"Do Ralph and Luke fight a lot?" I asked innocently giving off a worried expression.
"Ah well, family members always have... disagreements now and then."
Eugenia paused before speaking again.
"But you will see that they love each other very much and care for the others well-being because they are family after all."
"Okay!" I say chirping up putting an end to the conversation and given Eugenia a way to excuse herself out of the awkward situation.
"Alright now get out of here Noah. And say hi to your mother for me," She said.
I hopped out of the bed and opened the door before turning around.
"Thank for taking care of me," I say giving her a wide smile.
"Go on, get!" Eugenia says with a smile of her own as she points outside.
As I exit the place I immediately drop my smile. Disgusted that I have to pretend to care about all these people. Thinking this my eyes glow dangerous before I return to my normal self.
Looking around I get my first view of the inside of Wingston and all it's inhabitants.
There a many houses all around and people passing by.
The town is not anywhere nearly as modernized as the city of New Neviem. However it's far more developed than the village. It's like the place that I was originally born in.
Some houses are stone while some are wood. There is a road where many people are traveling and there are many shops set up outside. There's merchants that shout offering whatever they are trying to sell in order to reeling people in.
Taking a deep breath of air and letting it out I think to myself, 'So this is going to be the first place that I claim as my own.'
I make my way throughout the busy town passing by many people.
'Fuck! I don't know where my family lives! I keep forgetting to ask people for directions,' I say to myself disappointed.
Hearing a familiar voice I look around trying to determine where it's coming from.
"Everything is for sale! All must go! Step up and come over for the best deals! Conditions will be made to make sure you get all that you want!" A merchant called out from his stand.
He didn't seem any different from any of the other merchants but Noah recognized him when he saw his face.
'Ah that's the merchant that I made a deal with. Funny seeing him. Oh, that reminds me I need to go visit Greg to finish the last part of my plan,' I think excited as I change course and head towards the wall where the gate is.
I continue on my way ignoring all the ruckus that surrounds me when something out of the blue happens.
Once I neared the border of the town where the slubs are I came across a very interesting scene.
*FOOOOM*
A burst of flames shoot out from one of the alleyways ahead of me.
'I know those flames. That must be my dear brother. What on earth — or rather Madred is he doing?'
Boosting myself with a gust of wind I launch myself on top of one of the buildings that encompasses where Luke is.
Looking down I see quite the sight.
A girl covered in dirt and wearing rags is cowering behind Luke. While he is shooting flames that are attacking three other boys in front of him. They seem to be around the same age as him and must have some relation to him.
The three other boys also seem to be mages as two that look like twins use earth magic to protect everyone. While the third who seems to be the leader forms a sphere of water.
Luke relentlessly attacks with his flames unknowing that he is about to lose once the leading boy finishes his water ball. Luke can't see behind the wall of earth. Which probably makes him think that he is winning as it is starting to crumble from his barrage of attacks.
'Just who is that girl that he is protecting? Well it doesn't matter anyways since he will lose. I might as well wait and see what happens,' I think bored as I lay down expectantly waiting for a fun outcome.
Then just as I predicted when the wall crashes down and the ball of water shots forth and directly hits Luke.
The water instantly put out Luke's flames and flung him into the side of a building knocking him to the ground.
'Ouch,' I commentate in my head.
I watch as the boys make their way over to him and as they surround him to begin preparing more spells.
"You think that you so much better than everyone just because you can use magic without having to gesture hand signs," The leader said.
"Yeah you think that you can look down on us?" One of the twins said.
"Look at you now, all bloodied and crawling on the ground," The second twin joined in by announcing.
"We are going to teach you a lesson. We will show you just how truly weak you are," The leader stated.
At that remark the boys attacked Luke over and over beating him until he was unrecognizable.
I just looked at the scene with indifference and continued to watch on for what else might happen.
Right as Luke looked like he would pass out the twins used their magic to lock his hands and feet against the wall of the building holding him upright.
"Now we will really break you and teach you that you are nothing but trash. Bring his little girlfriend over," the leader said to the twins.
They then went over to the scared and sobbing girl and dragged her over to him.
The leader grabbed her by the face and stared at her.
"No please! *cough* don't... touch her *cough*" Luke cried out.
The girl who was already crying uncontrollably start sprouting tears like a waterfall.
"She didn't... do anythi... ng. Please *cough* let her go!" Luke pleaded unable to do anything as he was beaten too badly and chained the the wall.
The leader looked over at Luke for a second before returning his gaze to the girl and reaching out his hand.
"Noooo-" Luke tried to shout.
*TEAR*
...
*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*
I made my move.
'I have to thank you Luke. You've now made my master plan become heavenly,' I thought to myself smiling before fading away and leaving the scene.
*** one hour later ***
I returned to the crime scene and walked up to my crying parents.
As soon as they saw me they wrapped me in their embrace and let their tears fall as Luke was hauled away in front of them.
'Everything will play out perfectly,' I thought to myself as I begin to replay the events that happened.
Right as the leader of the three boys tore off the girls clothes — or rather rags I acted.
First I sent a gust of went which knocked out all the people in the alleyway. Then I jumped down off the top of the building.
Using the mechanics that make multiple elemental mages overpowered I used a dual element attack.
My fire magic was still quite week but my wind magic was really developing especially thanks to the dark magic.
Thus just casting a spark of fire I was able to turn it into a bomb.
I supplied the flame with the wind magic making it's destructive power absurd.
Before making the explosion go off I protected Luke with a force field.
After the insanity that the combination created my plan developed into something truly monstrous.
Luke survived but was beaten within an inch of his life. Then the three boys and the girl were burnt to a crisp. So much so that breathing on them would turn their remains to dust.
When the city enforcement groups would arrive they would see a fire mage beaten within half of his life and four dead bodies. It was the perfect frame.
There would be no one to prove his innocence and I wouldn't even be considered the mastermind due to everyone believing that I was magicless.
This would also allow me to get a footing in the city as my manipulation would come in handy.
Looking up from the hug my parents and I were in I caught contact of Edward's distraught face and smiled very, very wickedly.
My eyes once again shown with a black void of dread.
