Embers burned and scattered around a mold filled chamber of the cathedral, dust sparking against the clashing of weapons while only being illuminated by the bright beams of magic thrown towards a skeletal figure.

Large shields of Void came from the figure, deflecting the blows and threatening the now exhausted group of powerful figures... the soft noise of breathing slowly emerged under the collapsing noise of the battle, they slowed. The Skeletal figure raised his hands and began preaching to the group of fighters.

" You cannot win without the power of the holy weapon, useless soldiers. I am Naimoth, the Ruler of the Damned-! Here within my cathedral I am invinc-"

The sound of knocking entered the chamber, the locked doors behind the precession of fighters presented such a noise that muffled and interupted the speech of Naimonth, as such he raised a boney finger towards the door.

The large entrance swung open with a great force revealing... Me.

Hey, Avery Hall here. So uh, anyways that's what I think happened up untill this point... I ' see ' my party is a bit out of breath and exhausted, and I did here this guy talking from outside...but ya' know, it could go either way.

Anyways, this guy has Void powers on account that it's clashing with Jotun's blade... so, I mean... I guess I should just take care of that now.

Ripping out his Void source remotely with my Alchemical power, he immediately howled in pain and fell to the ground. His Void wasn't unique, just plain disappointing... well, whatever. With that eliminated....

This should get my party back up and brawling.

After making sure my party has recovered well, I took my robotic companions away with me and spoke to my recovered group.

- " I leveled the playing field a little, enjoy. I'll be making lunch. "

Dice cracked her knuckles.

Jotun spun her blade.

Anise flexed her magic circles and opened her wings.

Well, that's not what they really said... it was all some variation of that though so whatever...

Mmm... I think I am craving... carbs, maybe french toast? Mm, nah... that's a breakfast thing. Dumplings? Well I can't really steam them... so, I could make pot stickers... well, no those wouldn't fill everyone up...

Maybe a Rice kinda dish? Risotto or fried rice maybe...

Well, it looks like the group is doing okie dokie... before I cook though I should probably figure out what's up with Syn and Scarab.

Obviously some kinda EMP thing, but why would that affect them? They are biologically based now, so it really shouldn't... whatever, I just gotta reset them I think.

That should fix it, a one time EMP wave shouldn't do integral damage to their systems and a simple reset should fix whatever problems it caused. It couldn't be that difficult to reset a computer.

Alright, back to cooking... eh, first I should check in on the girls.

It seems their doing well all things considered, Anise is a big factor as usual... her Magical prowess is probably the deciding factor between victory and defeat... looking at Jotun more though, she is having a lot of trouble...

Somethings holding her back I think... like, I don't know... she doesn't really have training for her sword techniques, so maybe she isn't used to the raw power she holds now... or, maybe it's something completely different. I don't know.

I'll have to see later.

It's not going to be a high tier food item but is certainly is going to taste good, and that is all that really matters... those random buffs from food are all so terribly inefficient compared to items.

It should be done by the time they're done fighting... hm, what reliable and fine adults they have become. Dice is good, Anise is good... Jotun still needs a little help huh... well, that technique that Black Jade Tower sent over might do her some good as well.

I wonder what kind of technique it is... Alchemical? Magical? Or, is it martial arts?

I've actually been really interested in learning about martial lately, though it is nearly impossible to find a good source of information about... no, not the kung fu kind... I mean the supernatural kind... walk on water type stuff.

If I can get my hands on that then my physical body should be able to keep up with my Magical, Alchemical, and Void abilities a little more... speaking of Magical and bodies...
