Chapter 5

Kuro made his way through shrubs and tall grass that concealed their cavern and made his way into the forest, as their cave was located in between the rocky mountains and the valley pass at the edge of the outer forest

as a 3rd of this planet was occupied by two supercontinents, and on this one particular continent where they are located, a third of a quarter was covered in three different biomes, the swamp, the rainforest, and the rocky mountains, due to the existence of the thirio, the especially the area of the rainforest was a forbidden zone; no one would dare to enter and survive to tell the tale

Still, Kuro made his way through the forest, and following him due to worry was Yuka, as she begged him to come back with a teary and fearful expression

still, with determination stirring inside of him, he pushed through, as though by instinct he continued until he came to a clearing, just beside a clift he then stiffened as smelled something on the ground on the treelines

a voice popped into his head 'Vespene Gas'

he then by instinct walked into the middle of the clearing opened his portable inventory, and took out a pulsing cube, that's always mechanically shifting, as he then placed the cube down on the ground and by instinct, he carried Yuka in his arms and walk away until they reach the tree line

nothing happened, the cube just pulsated, and so he waited, until about five minutes later, mechanically the cube opened up as nanites released from the cube, which looked like silver liquid flowing out of it

it continued to flow like water until about a step from me it stopped, as it then like ants sequence rose from the ground and swell and sprout upward, I then see a countdown at the bottom left of my sight

with a sigh, I hugged Yuka tighter, as we both stared at what was happening in front of us

with an awestruck expression dawned upon her adorable face when seeing the construction of the command center is so adorable

as I then took the revolver inside the portable inventory, and stuff it in its holster on the back of my waist in case of emergency

"What is that, big brother?" she asked, staring at the nanites with her eyes wide

"hmmm, I... I'm not sure, how to explain that" I said as I tilted my head and placed my finger on my chin

not knowing what else to do but wait for the next twenty hours for the command center to complete, he carried Yuka back to their cavern. while the rest of the day went by rather uneventful

Their mother didn't return, which made him worry, and without food, both of them went hungry for the day. the hunger did not bother them, as they were already used to it

According to Kuro's memories, Civilization on this planet aside from the great cities that are scattered there were only a handful of small cities and a number of towns that were occupied by little to less than thirty percent of the human population, and the other ten took their chances out into the wild, similar to their former group and these chances were never good worst even

Compared to Earth, with Julius' memories the system here was cruel but it was born of necessity due to the lack of living spaces, within those protective walls of metal and the limited number of smaller cities and outpost towns

In this world, power is decided by family status, A family could only live in an outpost town if they possessed a level three frogger or level one weaver. To live in a city, a family group needed a level five Frogger or a level three Weaver
