Star Wars: A Single Wish

I don't own Star Wars. Disney owns Star Wars. This Fanfiction is something I have played around with for a very long time. In my head at least and I want to write some stuff about star wars. This is a wish fulfillment and I don't expect that to get through some of the thick skulls of readers. I won't be updating this regularly, and I wont be giving it a schedule. It's just something I'll write and update when I feel like it. This story isn't set in the skywalker saga, I don't want to get within a light year of that radioactive waste dump. While the original trilogy, clone wars, and mandolorian were excellent that's where the list ends. I don't want people writing reviews for this story, but I won't say you cant. I just want people to read a star wars fanfiction that is better then most out there. I wont lie I'm inspired by A New Player In The Force. However, my story wont be anything like that fanfiction though I really suggest you people read it. Its actually written by an educated teacher whos fighting leukemia. I won't bore you guys with anymore talk so I'll get right into the synopsis now. ------------------- A young boy, no older then 15 lies dying in his hospital bed. The reason he is here is because of the illness he inherited from his mother. He doesn't resent anything about his mother or what he got from her, only that his death be as quick. Before he rested his diseased body on this bed, he would comfort his mother while he could still be considered healthy. His mother passed fast compared to the rate he is going. The Opal family dies with him, and nothing can stop that. One of the things the two did was watch movies and T.V. shows, and their favorite was everything star wars. With Nathan Opal on his last day he is happy that his painful torment shall end. This is where the story begins.

It's been a day since we got back from The Jedi Temple. Nella has woken up and seems to have recovered from whatever was affecting her. It's good she got over it on her own and didn't need my help. It'll make her stronger in the end.

In fact, Nella and Marisa are enjoying some Mother-Daughter time together. Since Nella and I will be leaving soon, I suggested they spend as much time together as possible.

On the other hand, I have my company filled with the beautiful Twi'lek I've known since childhood. Eassa and I are sitting at the Senate Building Cantina.

It's just the two of us; there are a lot of meetings today, from what Satele told me. I don't know if my Old Master is mad at me; I don't want to pry into her mind to find out. But I can sense she's worried. Now that she knows I'm searching for Abeloth.

While I know I'm from a different universe... A different dimension; I grew up in this one without knowing... I'm guessing God did that on purpose. So I'd have the power and life of someone in this universe and the knowledge and experience of another later down the line.

I still remember my wish. It was a simple one. Nothing grand or specific. All I got was one. And I was vague with it too. Such things usually end with disappointment. Mine didn't.

"When are you leaving?"

Eassa halts my thoughts as the holonet show we're watching goes to a break. I can sense the disappointment and pain in her. She doesn't want me to go, and she can't come with Nella and me. She's got responsibilities to the Jedi.

After all this time, it has been nice to see her again. We never got the chance to have that moment of passion between us, but that's not something you rush with another person.

"When Nella and Marisa return, we're picking up our new ship. Then we're leaving."

The answer isn't the one she wants to hear, but she probably expects it. My dear friend lives a life that she can't leave and if she did. She'd lose everything she worked for. Besides, working with the Republic is a good thing in her eyes.

I've got other things to worry about besides a galactic conflict. The Sith and Jedi will always have their wars and conflicts. It's inevitable they happen. Most of the time, it's best to let it run its course, and not interfere.

Which is what I've been doing. Letting the war play out. I don't know what changes have specifically occurred due to me, but I do know there have been numerous amounts.

The new ship mom had bought us is ready, and after taking a tour it's way better than the one we had before. But I know Nate wants to get the one stolen back. There are a lot of important things on that ship, and all of them were stolen by SCORPIO.

I'm looking forward to seeing the droid again. While Nate and her never really got along, I always found her company fun. Her sense of humor, or lack thereof. Always made things fun.

"I don't want to be a nosy mother, but I'd like to know where you two are going."

Mom grabs Nate's attention, and my cousin folds his arms. He's not told me where we're going yet, either, but I trust him.

"We're heading to a world that's not on any maps or charts. And it's safer for you and us if you don't know where we're going. But you can trust me, you know I protect her."

My mother gives him a hurt look, and a chuckle escapes my lips.

"I'm worried about you too, Nate. You don't tell me what you're up to. I can't help thinking you guys are going to die in some backwater world in the galaxy."

Way to paint a picture, mother.

"So, are you going to tell me where we're going now?"

It's about time I share with Nella since we're alone now. Dagobah is a place that I know very little about, only that it's incredibly powerful in The Force.

"We're heading to a world called Dagobah. If I'm correct."

After all, I can't remember if it's a moon or, a system... We'll know once we get there.
