Star Knight

Levyn was the first to find his star. He started to absorb the star power from the star. As he was cultivating, the star power around him seemed to form a vortex.

Followed by Levyn, Hale and the boy with the beast spirit who is named Taron also found their stars and started absorbing Star power from their respective stars.

Five minutes passed as Hale exited from cultivation under the remarkable eyes of Kyle.

'Five minutes is not bad for a Support Star Knight's first time cultivating star power.'

After another five minutes Taron stopped cultivating and another five minutes passed as Levyn also finished his cultivation.

"Very good, 15 minutes for the first cultivation. Even your father lasted only for 10 minutes."

Kyle praised Levyn, who raised his neck with pride while he looked at Max who had not yet found his star, in disdain forgetting the scene where he was intimidated by his aura.

'Hmph, so what if you have nine-star bloodline? If you are not even able to absorb star power, even with the talent you are a waste.'

The remaining members also looked at Max thinking something was wrong with him.

Little did they know that this was the same case with the Star Knights of Rank 6 and above. They cannot absorb star power from the stars in the nearer orbit. They can only absorb star power from stars from the outermost orbit.

Even the wise Kyle did not think about relating these two things, after all how can the star seed of a newly awakened child who has not yet become a star knight, bear the star power as the same as Rank 6 Star Knight.

Max was searching for his star when he almost covered the entire orbit and could not find one. As he was concentrating on the stars on the border of the nearer orbit and the outermost orbit, he found that a star on the border, that belongs to the outermost orbit responding to his call and his Star Seed did not prevent him forming a connection to this star.

He was puzzled as he did not expect a star of outer orbit to respond to him. Since there was no other possible way, he could only choose to absorb star power from that star.

Just as he was trying to absorb the star power from that star, he felt something wrong with the star power when he sensed another star power coming towards him, that did not belong to the star he just connected with. When he tried to communicate with the second star, he found that both of them are binary stars bound to each other. So he tried to contact the two stars at the same time he was surprised to find that he could absorb star power from both the stars.

Under the shock of Kyle and the other three, a huge amount of star power was formed around Max as the center. The star power was much more pure and abundant compared to that of the other three.

Max started to absorb the star power into the star seed as the seed kept expanding and contracting while absorbing the star power, and simultaneously compressing the star power. Time passed by, after an hour Max felt like he was at his limit. So he stopped absorbing and cut off the flow of star power from the star seed to prevent any leak. As he finally compressed his star power once more, the star power seed finally transformed into a sphere of two inch radius full of star power that was shining brightly. It looked like a mini starry sky.

Max open his eyes when he saw three other kids looking at him like a monster, even kyle was looking at him in appreciation.

"One hour, very good! Even the patriarch's eldest son only lasted for half an hour during his star power condensation for the first time."

Max shrugged his shoulders calmly.

"Okay, everyone you can cultivate by yourselves from here on. After you breakthrough to Rank 1 Star Knight you can take the token that clan leader gave you to the Star skills pavilion and take any two Star Skill exercises along with a Star power cultivation technique manual.

All Star Skill exercises including cultivation techniques are divided into four grades from low to high:

'Yellow, Purple, Black and Red.' each divided into three tiers ' Low, Mid, High.'

Our clan's main cultivation technique 'Desolate Lion Art' is a Mid-Tier Purple grade exercise.

Those with the clan's natal spirit or with a spirit evolved and related to the clan's natal spirit can just use the Desolate Lion Art which is extremely suitable. You can a pick that up in the ground floor of Star Skills pavilion where cultivation techniques are available."

Kyle instructed them and left before taking one last look at Max. After Kyle left Levyn snorted and glanced at Max as he walked away. Taron and Hale smiled at him and ran away.

Max's house was empty as he opened the door. There was a bowl of rice porridge. 'Looks like Rin sent my lunch very early.'

He washed his hands and started eating the porridge with the spoon. His food was always Rice porridge as the clan did not provide him with any grains or ingredients. This rice was also the ration surplus of Rin. Fortunately he knew how to hunt, otherwise with the amount of physical exercise he does, drinking porridge daily would make him malnourished.

Finishing his meal, Max sat down on bed to cultivate. He closed his eyes and concentrated on absorbing star power from the two stars. This time he was able to cultivate star power for one and half hour before reaching his limit.

He repeated his routine for three days. On the third day when he was cultivating he felt like his star seed was having a qualitative leap. So he increased the speed by which he absorbed the star power. As the star power in his body increased, his spirit rune emerged in front of him. He noticed that the silver and black pattern on the rune was some what more visible compared to three days ago. His mental power also increased as he could see everything with a 10m radius around him clearly. He sensed that a layer of shackles on his body were broken.

'Is this Star Knight?'

He felt extremely comfortable more than ever. He feels that he could defeat ten of him before. He quickly calmed down his mind.

'There is a long way to go. How could I be complacent just by walking the first step.'

According to Kyle it takes around half month to year to breakthrough to Star Knight after awakening. Even a nine-star bloodline would take at least half month to become a Star Knight.

Max felt it had something to do with the dual binary stars as he is the only person to absorb star power from two stars at the same time, along with the fact that the two stars were twin stars of a binary star system orbiting against each other. So the star powers of the two are complimentary which allowed him to absorb the star power with ease.

Though the stars from which he absorbed star power were from the outer orbit which were used as source of star power for the Star Knights of at least Rank 6, it did not mean that the star power from that stars were more in amount than the stars of the nearer orbit to the continent. If anything the star power from those stars were just more pure than these nearer stars.

His fast cultivation was only due to the his ability to absorb star power from two stars but not due to the stars being from the outer orbit.
