This is too much change too quickly. Only a few perfect hours with Dom, and now we are headed to Matvey's house where I won't be able to be with him—at least not how I want to be.
So many things could go wrong, and now I know Dom hurt Ivan. If Matvey finds out, what will he do to him?
"I might know something that can help the story about the cartel being responsible for Ivan's injuries." I tell him, and his jewel colored eyes shift my way.
"You do? What is it?"
"Someone at the club was involved with letting them in. I had gotten a glimpse of that guilt in a shadow the other night, but last night I saw it right when we walked in the door. It was the same face Luka had in his shadow when we were talking about Esmerelda on the way to the club."
"It was Luka?" His foot lets off the accelerator with the question like he's preparing to pull over.
