The sudden change in his old friend's attitude stunned Mr. Simon. It was he who was supposed to be enraged!
"If I am not respecting you, I should not have come to you first but to the police station. Your granddaughter harmed my grandson. You must not have seen my grandson's face. My perfectly fine grandson has to stay in bed for months!"
"Be thankful he only needs to stay in his bed for months. If you were not my friend, he should have been shoved into prison."
Mr. Simon could not believe the words coming out of his old friend. Was he going to defend that granddaughter of his? Would their friendship be forever lost because of a little girl's scheme?
