Angel poured herself a glass of whiskey and swirled it around as she sat on the single bed. She lifted the glass to her mouth and sipped it a little before removing it from her lips. She stared at the whiskey, tilting her glass to the left and right. The amber liquid slid to each side accordingly and she felt the desire collecting in the base of her stomach.
It's been an hour.
Was he still at the restaurant? Still eating? Or was he now walking around the hotel, meeting some important people? Maybe he was caught up in an interesting conversation and that delayed him. Or maybe he had taken her hotel card key and was right now trying to lose his bodyguards so he could come over to her room and fuck her brains out. She smiled thinking of his cock inside her, thrusting into her until her entire body slammed against the headrest of the bed. Oh, how wonderful that would be.
Another hour passed.
Angel sighed, dropping her empty glass to the ground beside her bed. He was clearly not coming. He probably didn't see the fucking hotel card key. It was white after all, like the cloth on the table. How stupid she was! If only she had put the black napkin underneath the hotel card key, then they would be fucking right now.
The third hour passed.
Angel pried herself from the bed. That was it. She decided then and there. She had to take matters into her own hands.

Darrow stood before the ceiling high windows at his hotel room, a glass of whiskey in his hands. The city lights were bright and he watched hordes of cars driving past the well-lit roads. He knew that he attained presidency the dirty way, but he was serious about it. He had many great plans for the country, and he knew he would do everything in his power to make sure it prospered under his care.
As he continued staring at the night life, his mind wandered off to her. What was Shannon doing now? Was she with her new husband, taking care of the newborn he knew she recently had? Was that the life she had always envisioned for herself, which she knew she would only attain with a divorce from a rich man like him? For some reason, his heart stilled in the turmoil when he thought about how he had somehow contributed to her happiness.
Was it so bad that he still loved her? He couldn't help himself, but every part of him missed her like there was no tomorrow. If only she was still with him, then things would've been perfect. But she had given up the prospect of being the First Lady for a normal man! There must be something wrong with him.
Darrow brought his glass up to his lips to sip from it. At the same time, he heard a beeping sound from the door behind him. That was the sound that the door only made when the correct hotel card key was used. He was certain he had instructed his bodyguards to leave him alone. Turning around, he waited for them to appear. Something truly horrific must have happened for them to intrude without even telling him beforehand.
The door slowly opened.
But it opened to Angel, the reporter.
Darrow's mouth fell open slightly. Angel? What was she doing here? How is she inside? She walked in, stopping in the middle of the room, her chest rising and falling unevenly.
Darrow neared her, stopping right before her. He looked down at her, and she tilted her head up to stare into his eyes. Her eyes are afire with passion and he felt the hot touch of her short breath on his jaw.
"What are you doing here, Angel?"
"I-I - "
"How did you get in?"
"I have my ways."
"You got past my secret service. That's something."
"I do."
"Why are you here?"
"I- I just - "
"Did I drop my hotel card key? And you're here to return it to me?"
"Y-Yeah," she said. "I mean, no."
"Then?"
"I was - " Angel said, her voice shaky. "I want - I need - "
"If you don't mind, I'd like to sleep now."
Angel looked at the bed beside them. "Alone?"
"Why, will there be someone joining me?"
"Maybe?"
"Who will that be?"
"Umm…" Angel said. "I think - "
"Angel, please leave my room now."
"But - "
"I'd love to meet you tomorrow. And it's already 3 in the morning. You need to wake at 6 so you can continue covering my steps for Brevity, right?"
"Sure," she said, biting onto her lips.
"Well, good night."
"How about - "
"The door is right behind you."
She sighed loudly. "Fine."
