Split (Black Clover FanFic)

There are many mysteries and unexplainable phenomena throughout the world, things that shock and mesmerize, stun and amaze. With so many outrageous things that exist and will no doubt continue to pop up, is it truly safe to say that anything is impossible? This is the story of a young man who has lived his whole life with a secret that others would deem ridiculous, written off as something or another. Split in two, the youth struggles to keep his own secret underwraps, living every day in hopes that he could contain the overwhelming danger residing in his own body. While appearing average on the surface, he exists knowing that a much darker lurks underneath, waiting to strike out at any given moment. This is the tale of Jade Yamata and the harbinger of chaos that dwells within him. //More recognition means more chapters. Once I reach 1k collections, this will become a daily update. Prologue

//A mere taste for you. I wrote this on the fly so itll be rough until O go back and seriously work on it. My quality will improve as I go.

"Oof"

The sound of soft flesh slamming into the pavement was shortly followed by the sharp exhale as all oxygen escaped from the lungs of a man appearing to be in his mid to late twenties. Blood covered his lip, multiple fresh cuts both deep and shallow lined his body, shirt and pants in pieces as the man struggled to rise up into a sitting position.

"Please, I'm sorry. I didn't mean any harm!!! We just wanted some money is all!!" The man was panicked as he addressed the young teen in front of him, the youths bright white hair blowing in the wind. The boys red eyes sent shivers down his spine as he hurriedly glanced away, no longer possessing the strength to fight back.

Glancing behind him, the man took in the sight of six collapsed figures, each one letting out occasional moans of pain as they too failed to muster up the strength to lift so much as a finger. It was all so surreal, as if the man was living in some sort of dream turned into a nightmare, fear and desperation now coursing through his veins. To think that they would all be defeated by a mere high schooler, and one who had looked so goofy and weak as well.

"Oh? Was that ALL you wanted?" Jode Yamata said as he knelt down, a rather sharp knife gleaming in the dim light provided by the alley entrance. "You should have told me that sooner."

The white haired youth gave a small smile, one that made the old man swallow in abject terror as he leaned back, unable to face the boys cold and unfeeling gaze.

"How about we do this," Jode muttered as he reached forward with the knife, pressing it up against the thugs cheek. "We'll play a game. It might be a long one but itll be fun."

The young man stood up from the ground and gestured to the exit of the alley.

"You're free to go," Jode muttered. "I've had my fun as you all managed to alleviate some of my own boredom. However should I see you again then you lose the game. Stay out of my sight for the rest of your lives and you win."

"What happens if we lose?" The man asked as he wobbled onto his feet.

Jode merely smirked as he easily juggled the knife in his hand. He said nothing else.
