Part 22

I smiled, that's all I could do. Everyone was here to support me. Then I realized something that could possibly be horrible.

Mom has never met Paige.

This is gonna be a fucked up fight. She hasn't met her, but she knows that I have a girlfriend because I told her.

And now their sitting next to each other. What kinda things could they start talking about.

"Hi, I'm Paige. Izuku's girlfriend" Paige said with a sadistic smile for some reason. "Oh, so your the girl Izuku's dating. You know, he pissed his pants at school 5 times before" his mother said with a smile stuck to her face. "Oh, did you know, I took your son's virginity" Paige said. Inko's face became distant. She then reached out for Paige's neck and twisted. Killing her and walking away into a clown car.

No, no no. Stop thinking all these weird thoughts Izuku. Why would your mother jump into a clown car though? That doesn't matter. Just go up there and talk.

I jumped into the air and webbed onto the walls around the arena. I pulled and flew toward them, landing on the wall in perched position. Then shooting upwards to the top of the stadium. I pulled and flew up and let go of my webs and soared for awhile, before landing in a perch position again. This time right in front of them. I stood properly after that and looked at them.

"There's our spider. Pew pew" one of the scientists said. "Good work out there" Tanaka said as he placed a hand on my shoulder.

(Refer back to the first chapter 'SpiderIzuku' to know who Tanaka is)

"Yeah well, I didn't win" I said as I clenched my fist.

"Winning isn't everything" My mom said as she patted my shoulder. "Yeah, I know, I would have really just liked it" I said and sighed. "So, what are you all doing here? I thought you had work" I asked and that's when Ben came forward. "Yeah, and we did. Then there was a chemical breach so we had to evacuate. Boss told us to leave for the day and come back tomorrow. Then Paige here said you were having a Sports Festival and we were like, that's something to do" he said and smirked. "That's kinda why we're still wearing our lab coats" Tanaka said and chuckled. That's when I noticed that they were still wearing their lab coats.

"So, Izuku..." My mother said and her eyes darted toward Paige.

Shit. It's happening. "Why haven't you introduced me to your girlfriend here?" She asked with a smile. Paige turned to look at Inko with a smile. Inko smiled back at Paige. I pointed at Paige, then back at my mom with a confused face. Then I kept switching. Pointing at each one confusedly. "What's this?" I asked and my mom looked at me still with that smile.

"Why didn't you tell me she was so pretty. And such and interesting person. She's told me a couple of stories about you two" My mom said and my mouth kinda dropped. My heart was picking up pace and my palms became clammy and sweaty. "Stories?" I asked and she nodded. Paige also nodded and gave me a smirk. "Sshhe, also told me a few stories about you" Paige said and my heart rate picked up even more.

"What's wrong honey, your sweating a lot. Do you want some water?" My mother asked as she handed me a water bottle. I took it and nodded nervously and drank it all in one gulp.

"Jeez, you must have been thirsty" Ben said. I nodded and chuckled nervously. "So...what kinda stories did you share?" I asked and Paige and my mom just kept smiling. Making this whole experience even more scary. "Well...your mom told me about a few months ago..." Paige began and stepped toward me. "Apparently, when we first started dating. You cried" she said and her smile became a giggle.

"...What?" I said as I looked at them. "Yep, he cried" Inko said as she smiled at the memory.

"I mean, I knew you were happy we are dating but, crying?" She said and giggled even more. I have no clue what's happening.

"Oh, so that's what kinda stories you two were sharing" I said as I wiped my brow in joy that it wasn't anything else.

"What did you think we were talking about?" Paige asked as she came closer to me. "Oh look, the first match is about to begin. Gotta jet" I said as I jumped away. Now that was close.

I looked down as I saw the first two people who were gonna be fighting walk into the arena. It was Momo VS Beast Man.

This is not gonna be easy for her. But, I believe she can win.

Momo rising begin

Narrator P.O.V

Momo looked at Beast Man with a slightly scared expression.

"Okay, keep calm. Remember your training" she repeated to herself as she stared at the big monster in front of her. "Are we ready, begin!" Midnight yelled and Beast Man immediately began moving. Momo jolted back in shock at how fast he moved.

"No" Izuku murmured as he saw her jolt back in shock.

Beast Man ran forward and swung a fist. Momo jumped to the side, just narrowly dodging and rolling. But, it wasn't over. Beast Man came back for round two. He swung another fist. This time, it wasn't fully dodged as his fist scraped her side. Momo cried out in pain as she fell to her knees. Beast Man came back and grabbed her. He threw her across the arena. "I am a man, so I cannot attack a lady relentlessly. So I ask you now, please give up" he said as he walked over to Momo. Momo slowly rose to her feet and starred at Beast Man. "No" she said simply.

Beast Man sighed as he went for another grab. But, she dodged by rolling and created a pole from her hand. A big hand grabbed her wrist and lifted her into the air. He punched her in the chest with his free hand and threw her to the ground as she gasped for air.

"Please, surrender" Beast Man said as she squirmed on the floor. Trying to get to her feet. "...No" she said through the pain.

"She's gonna lose"

"This match is a laugher"

"It's over"

"Well, this is where her journey in this competition ends"

"Pity, she's so pretty, why would she decide to become a hero?"

Why did I decide to become a hero? I've never really asked that. Why did I decide to be a hero? I guess, I just did.

Flashback

Young 5 year old Momo stared at the huge TV in front of her. The TV was the size of the screen in a cinema. So you couldn't exactly call it a TV, but this was her TV.

She ran around the big room with a bed sheet wrapped around her neck like a cape as her father chased her. "You'll never get me villain" she said in her cute soft voice. "I will get you!" Her father yelled as he chased and caught her. He picked her up as she yelled "No! I've been caught!" And he fell to the floor with Momo landing on his chest. They both laughed at their antics. "Hey you two! The maids finished making dinner!" A women said as she walked into the room.

She smiled at the sight of her husband and daughter playing.

"Okay, let's go have dinner" her father said as he set her down next to him and stood. Grabbed his tie that was tied around his forehead and pulling it down to his neck. "Awww!" Little Momo whined. "Don't worry, we can continue playing the whole day tomorrow. I'm taking the day off" he said and she perked up. "But, I can't wait till tomorrow" she whined again. Her father simply chuckled as he walked off. Momo stood up and walked out of the room.

4 years later

Momo stood inside the same room with her TV. Smiling at the screen as she saw the hero's save people. Her father sat in a chair next to her and read the newspaper off his phone instead of watching what was happening onscreen. "Daddy, I want to be a hero" she said and pointed at the screen. "Honey that's not possible because-" her father got jabbed by his wife who was next to him. She shook her head and smiled at her daughter. "You can be anything you want to be" she said and nodded.

3 years later

Momo hopped into her families limo and listened to the sound of smooth jazz. It was her father's favourite thing to listen to. "So honey, how was school today?" Her mother asked as she fixed her makeup. "It was amazing. I've finally decided what I want to do as an adult" she said and this grabbed the attention of both adults. They both stopped what they were doing and stared at her. "Do you want to take over daddies company? That would make daddy very happy" her father said as he adjusted his glasses. "No, I want to be a hero" she said and both parents felt a pang at their hearts.

"No, honey you can't be a hero, your too pretty for that line of work" her mother said and continued applying her makeup. "But, all my friends are doing it" Momo complained.

"Listen Momo, your quirk isn't a heroes quirk. You can't be a hero without a powerful quirk. Just give up on that dream and prepare to inherit my company" her father said sternly. "But!-" "No buts" he silenced her and she felt tears well up in her eyes.

A year later

Momo stared at her alarm clock as she got out of bed. It was Sunday, no school today. She stood and got dressed into her tracksuit. She had been training in secret to become a hero she hadn't given up on that dream.

She walked through the mansions big halls until she reached the front door. When she opened it. She was met with her father standing outside. "Going somewhere?" He questioned and she reeled back in shock.

"Listen Momo, I know you've been sneaking out to go train. Cause you still have this stupid dream of being a hero. Give this dream up right now young lady!" He yelled at her. Momo bit her lip to stop her tears. "Your taking over my company and that's that" he said and walked toward her and grabbed her wrist. He pulled her inside as she tried to pry free.

A year later

She stared at her father's angry face. "You sent your file to apply to UA highschool?" He questioned anger clearly present on his face. "Y-Yes" she said shyly. Her father stood and threw the chair he was sitting on in a fit of rage. "How many times do I have to tell you! You can't be a hero! Our family quirk isn't a hero's quirk. Yet you still persist!" He yelled and stepped toward her. Momo stared at him with fear.

"Fine! I'll let you go to that school. But when your dreams crash and burn! Don't come crying to me or your mother!" He yelled and walked off.

Flashback end

Now I know, I know why I wanted to become a hero. To prove that no matter how useless your quirk may seem. It can be useful.

"Yaoyorozu's rising!" Present Mic yelled. Momo stood up as she looked at Beast Man.

"I am strong, I will be a hero" she said as she dodged a punch from him. She threw her punch and created a staff at the same time. It hit him in the stomach and he stumbled backwards. She grabbed the staff and swung it. Hitting his head.

He stumbled a little more and she created a grappling gun. She shot it at the wall behind him and pulled the trigger once more and it started reeling the rope back in. She started running and slid on the floor. She slid toward his legs and slid past them. The rope hit his feet and because the rope was still reeling in, and Momo was behind him. It pulled on his legs, causing him to fall forward. She quickly let go of the grappling gun and let it move forward. It made it's way toward Beast Man and hit his face before going toward the wall. A bat quickly formed out of Momo's arm and and springs at her feet. The springs launched her into the air and she came down, hitting Beast Man in the head with the bat as she did. The bat broke and she rolled as she hit the ground. She stopped rolling as Beast Man stood and roared.

"I see I underestimated you" he said and charged. He jumped and punched down hard. Momo quickly created a shield in her hands and blocked the attack. She slid back as she did.

She peeked over her shield and saw him dashing toward her again.

She immediately got an idea. She ran toward the edges and he followed. She then created a flash grenade and threw it at him. It exploded and blinded him. He stopped running and slid toward her. She stopped running and crouched down with her shield above her. Beast Man's weight made contact with the shield. She mustered up all her strength and lifted. Her muscles burned as she did and she felt like stopping. But, the momentum that Beast Man had when he slid helped a little.

She began to sweat tremendously as she felt his weight now full on. But, she pushed through. She lifted him up on the shield and rounded him around to her other side facing the edge of the arena. She gave one final push and he flew out. Landing on the floor outside the arena with a thud.

The crowd was silent. How we're they supposed to react. They judged her without knowing what she went through.

"Yes! That's my girl!!" A voice yelled. Momo looked up into the crowd to see her father standing applauding. He cheered as his eyes glazed over with tears.

Momo you did what I could not, you became a hero. My father put me down and told me I couldn't be a hero, so I did the same to you. I'm sorry for doubting you.

Momo smiled before fainting. All she could remember was people cheering. She had broken the status quo. The damsel in distress...saved herself.
