[3rd POV]
It was a couple days later when Gwen found herself in History class which was taught by a man known as Oobleck. He was a rather...unique man, who was absolutely chaotic and full of energy, moving around the room at rapid paces, all the while, he was drinking his coffee.
Over the past couple of days, all Gwen had really done was begin to research the Dust, and it's potential uses to her, and boy was she not disappointed in it.
The dust was the physical crystallization of magic, the magic of the very world itself. And each form of dust was basically a manifestation of a necessary concept of the world, such as fire, water, ice, gravity, and various others. All of them were necessary, and all of them were closely connected to the concepts they formed from.
Magically wise, the dust was not impressive at all. But what was impressive was the uses of it. And the wide range of them.
She found that she could use the dust as a substitute power source for various machines, ranging from weapons, to even transport. Transport like ones that could go interstellar. Of course it'd need a decent bit of the dust, but now that she knew the makeup of the dust, she could make practically infinite amounts of the dust with ease.
There were some other notable items she could use it for, but nothing to truly incredible levels. She couldn't make anything that could destroy planets or anything, but the uses of such a seemingly weak resource was impressive either way. She knew that she could make some new technology with it as well, but that would be down the road.
And this was without talking about the rituals and other magical items she could create with them. There were a few dozen ideas she had in that area, but that was also for the future. Some of them included rituals to permanently strengthen her girlfriends, herself, and other ones like summoning and some similar stuff.
Besides researching dust, she had also been helping the girls with their homework, and had even helped Ruby with hers, after she struggled with a specific question from their class on Grimm. The girl had regularly started to turn to Gwen when it came to things like that, as Gwen was in the top of every class she was in, and had proven herself as the smartest person in her year, not that they knew she was easily the smartest individual in this universe, and most others.
Watching as Oobleck zoomed around the class energized and probably on a caffeine high, she began to listen to the man. His teaching was actually pretty decent, certainly better than Glynda's which didn't really teach much, but she wasn't awful.
"Yes! Yes! Prior to the faunus rights revolution more popularly known as the faunus war, humankind was quite quite animate about centralizing the faunus population in menagerie" Oobleck spoke.
He was talking about a past faunus revolution that had ended with them getting more rights than before, albeit not many. It was also a piece of history that Gwen had been a bit interested in, so she had read a few books on it already. And with Salem's knowledge, she knew a good bit about it already.
"Now, while this must feel like ancient histories, to many of you, it is imperative to remember that these are relatively recent events. Why the repercussions of the uprising can still be seen to this day. Now, have any among you been subjugated or discriminated against because of your faunus heritage?" Oobeck asked, and at this, every faunus in the room, including Gwen, raised their hands.
Seeing the amount of people raising their hands, the still rapidly speaking Oobleck began again "Dreadful! Simply dreadful! Remember students it is precisely this kind of ignorance that breeds violence. I mean-I mean-I mean just look what happened to the white fang. Now! Which one of you young scholars can tell me what many theorists believe to be the turning point in the third year of the war" Oobleck finished with a question.
Almost instantly Weiss's hand was raised and Oobleck called on her to answer.
"The battle at fort castle" Weiss answered with a smug tone, knowing she got it right.
"Precisely! And who can tell me the advantage the faunus had over General Lagoon's forces?" Oobleck asked, before Jaune made a small noise, causing him to blur in front of him.
"Mr Arc! Finally contributing to class, this is excellent! Excellent! What is the answer?" Oobleck asked the confused boy, who was previously asleep.
"Uh...binoculars?" Jaune asked awkwardly, as he didn't know the answer, even with Pyrrha trying to tell him. At his answer, the entire laugh (minus teams RWBY, JNPR, Gwen and her girlfriends of course).
"Very funny Mr Arc. Cardin! Perhaps you would care to share your thoughts on the subject!" Oobleck said, as Gwen looked to the teen who was previously laughing.
Feeling her glare at the side of his head, he began to furiously sweat before replying "Night Vision! It was night vision!" He replied instantly, pale from the teens glare.
"Exactly! Now, let us move on, ah, but Mr Arc, you will come to class afterwards for additional readings" Oobleck continued, as he began to rant on about the next subject matter. The man moved on from subject to subject so fast that many of the students got whiplash, while Gwen just snorted at the interesting man.
Gwen during the rest of the class, had mostly zoned out, as she knew of all the historic events that he was talking about, more than he himself did. Salem had been there for many of them, or at the least, had eyes on many of them. She had also been the person behind a lot of the events, particularly the more destructive ones.
With the class over, Gwen made her way out of the class, followed by her girlfriends. She had no interest in helping Jaune, as she knew that Pyrrha would do that well enough, and would continue doing it, as she wasn't planning on letting the red head die at the hands of Cinder like in canon.
"What're you girls planning on doing?" Gwen asked her girlfriends who all had contemplative looks on their faces before replying.
"Reading" Raven answered.
""More Training"" Korra and Artemis both answered.
"Doing homework! And then after that I'm gonna bake some cookies" M'gann answered with a smile, as it had been a while since she last made her cookies that Gwen loved so much. She was also sure that a certain silver eyed girl would like some as well.
Hearing their answers, Gwen hummed "Well, I think I'll be relaxing in our room. I was thinking of doing some art or something, I need more hobbies besides training"
"Oh? Can you make art of us?" Korra asked, interested in seeing what Gwen could make.
Raising an eyebrow at the question, Gwen inwardly went over the idea before slowly replying.
"Yeah, yeah I think I can"

That's the end of the chapter!
Not the best chapter, but I did my best lol.
Next chapter should be roughly the same length as this one, but should be a bit better quality wise. My sleeping schedule has been awful, as my pup has been keeping me up at night, so I've been struggling a bit sleep wise.
Anyways, have a good day!
