Opening scene Peter, Doug, Kitty, and Bobby are in the danger room doing extra training.

"Show me what you got Doug," I say making a come here motion with my hand.

"Is this really necessary?" Doug asks timidly.

"You wanted to get better at martial arts the only way to do that is practice so are you going to start or do I have to," I say the last part threateningly hoping to get a rise out of him. Doug raises his fist and comes at me he throws a few punches my way that I am easily able to block or dodge.

"Not bad Doug you're improving," I say complimenting him. I see an opening and throw a few easy to block punches of my own my first two he was able to dodge but my last one got him square on the nose.

"That's gotta hurt," Bobby said from the sidelines. I ignore him and focus on Doug.

"You ok," I say to Doug still in my martial arts stance. Doug rubs his nose for a second and says "I'll be fine" and we continue training. Doug throws some more punches and kicks my way but I block them all and throw a couple of light punches his way. He dodges them all with a surprised look on his face.

"Did you see that?" Doug says.

"What?" I ask confused.

"I'm not sure," Doug says.

"Well if it's nothing then let's continue," I say charging at Doug. Doug continues to dodge my punches but he has a look on his face like he's not sure what he's seeing. Doug blocks my last punch and strikes back. He connects with my chin and even manages to flip me.

"Oh my God Doug just put Peter on the ground" Bobby yells with surprise from the sidelines. Still, on my back from earlier I ask "How did you do that I mean that was great, but how?" I say stunned.

"I don't know halfway through the fight I could see what you were doing," Doug says looking at his hands. I get up and Kitty walks beside me.

"What do you mean you could see what I was doing," I ask.

"I don't know it was like I could read you like a book," Doug says still surprised.

"Is it body language?" Kitty asks.

"Body Language" Doug repeats.

"Yeah people can communicate through movement and Logan always says in a fight to watch your opponent for physical signs their going to attack," Kitty says factually.

"I think you're missing the fact that Doug just took down Peter," Bobby says excitedly. I glare at Bobby for a second and ask Doug "When you could read me what could you see".

"It was weird it was like you or your body was saying everything you wanted to do and then I just moved," Doug says trying to explain his powers.

"It sounds like you just figured out a new use for your powers," I say patting him on the shoulder. I suddenly sweep Doug's leg and see him fall.

"Ow, what was that for" Doug groans.

"I thought you might be able to see it coming," I say

"No you didn't you were just mad Doug knocked you on your ass," Bobby said.

I help up Doug and walk us all to the kitchen where I make everyone breakfast. While we ate Bobby kept mentioning how Doug took me down while the rest of us tried to actually figure out his new power.

"Is this what our life is?" I say to no one in particular.

"What do you mean," Kitty asks.

"Well we're always worried about some threat coming to destroy all mutants or our powers when was the last time we did something stupid and fun," I say.

"Stupid and fun is my middle name" Bobby chimes in. "There is a carnival in town I'm down to go if you all are".

"Peter don't you have work today," Kitty says.

"Yeah but I don't feel like going today," I say.

"Would you look at that responsible Spider-Man says he doesn't want to go to work now we have to go out," Bobby says.

"Doug how bout you" I look over to him and ask.

"Yeah a carnival sounds fun," Doug says almost excited.

"Great I'll call in sick and then well all head out," I say cleaning up the last bit of breakfast. I call Jameson and have what feels like an hour-long conversation about how I think I got sick and what I could possibly have then all four of us headed out for the carnival. We walked the first few miles just talking and having fun like normal kids then we all saw a giant rhinoceros man running down the street.

"Why did I know this was going to happen," I say.

"You knew a rhinoceros was going to rampage down the streets of New York," Doug says surprised.

"No, I just knew I couldn't have a crazy free day," I say. Then we all see a squad of cop cars chasing him down the street.

"Wait are you gonna be a superhero and fight that guy," Bobby asks.

"Yeah, you want to help," I ask back.

"Hell yeah," He says and then turns into his organic ice form.

"Ghost, Doug you two want to help," I say changing into my Spider costume.

"You know I'm game," Kitty says.

"I think I'll just wait here," Doug says.

"We'll be right back," I say grabbing Kitty and swinging in the direction of the Rhino while Bobby ice slides behind us.

"So you fought this guy before Peter," Bobby asks.

"Yeah, he's strong but not too smart, and call me Spider-Man when the mask is on," I tell Bobby. I swing for a few minutes till I see the big man barreling down the street. I Vibro blast the ground in front of him and watch him trip and fall cracking the cement road. I let down Kitty and Bobby slides down to the ground while Rhino remains motionless.

"Is he ok?" Bobby asks getting close.

"Get back" I scream at Bobby as my spider-sense flares. Rhino gets up with a vengeance and knocks Bobby back several feet.

"Ghost check on Bobby I'll keep the big guy busy," I say running up and punching Rhino in the face he staggers back a bit, but quickly recovers and charges in my direction. I flip back to get some distance between us and web his face blinding him as he flails he breaks a fire hydrant and I get blasted with water. By the time I come to my sense I see the Rhino standing over about to stomp his foot down and crush me. As his foot hits the ground I notice I'm not hurt and see Kitty beside me phasing us through him.

"Stupid bug why won't you die," Rhino says frustrated and angry.

"Why do I have to keep telling everybody spiders are arachnids, not bugs," I say recalling all the people who have called me bug during my hero career. Rhino continues to try to stomp me but Kitty is still phasing us so it doesn't work. Behind Rhino Bobby started to freeze him in place stopping him from moving.

"Look I made a Rhino-icicle," Bobby says proudly. Kitty and I get up and as I go to call the special mutant division Xavier told me about a pillar of fire comes out of nowhere and thaws the Rhino. I look and see John AKA Pyro with a pack of lit matches.

"Hey, Rhino-man I'm trying to kill Spider-Man want to help," Pyro says casually.

"Shit a supervillain team-up is the last thing I wanted," I say done with this fight.

"Bobby can you handle Pyro while Ghost and I take care of Rhino," I ask Bobby.

"Sure Spider" Bobby then ice-slides over to pyro and the two begin battling with fire and ice.

"You got a plan," Kitty asks.

"Always," I say confidently. Then Rhino charges at us again I jump out the way and Kitty just phases. After I land I web-line Rhino's feet and pull with all my strength this gets him to fall and land face-first into a bus stop.

"Now" I yell to Kitty. She quickly grabs Rhino and phases him into the ground with only his head exposed. I point blank Vibro blast his exposed head knocking him unconscious. I look over and see Bobby and Pyro are still fighting.

"Should we help or do you want to see if he can do this on his own" Kitty asks.

"Tempting but we should still help," I say running to aid Bobby in his fight.

"DIE" Pyro yells at Bobby. Just then I run in and Vibro blast his flames apart this gives Bobby the opportunity to freeze his matches and any flames he has on him. I walk up to Pyro calmly and say "Do you want to go willingly or do I have to knock you out". Pyro clearly upset with himself for losing jut says "One of these days you're going to mess up Spider and I'll be there to watch you burn".

"Great now I'm gotta knock you out," I say and I web-tase him and cuff him. Kitty pulls Rhino out of the ground and cops finally fell confident enough to approach us.

"So do any of you know why the Rhino was running down the street when he should be in jail," I ask.

"Well he just escaped the prison and was making a dash for it, but the idiot ran down a busy street so he was bound to attract attention though I don't know who the fire guy is," The officer said looking at the unconscious Pyro.

"By the way, Spider-Man who are your friends you leading a team now or something," The officer asks.

"I'm glad you asked I'm am the super, amazing, spectacular Iceman if you all form an orderly line I'd be happy to sign autographs or take selfies," Bobby says annoying everyone who heard him.

"This is Iceman and that's Ghost were kind of a team I don't want to take all your time, but these two need to be in cells" I grab Kitty and swing off and Bobby actually starts taking selfies with the unconscious Rhino before he follows behind.

"Did you really stop to take a picture of an unconscious super-villain?" Kitty asks

"You say that like it's surprising" Bobby retorts. We all change out of our suits and catch up with Doug.

"How did the fight go," Doug asks.

"It went awesome you should have seen it," Bobby says showing Doug the pictures he took. "We even fought Pyro from the brotherhood" he added. As Bobby started talking about the fight embellishing on the details that involve him we make it to the carnival. We get some corn dogs and play some games I win Kitty one of those huge stuffed animals in one of those ring the bell strength games. I thought about taking all the prizes but decided to leave them. We have a nice time then head back to the mansion.

"So how was your fun non-super day," Kitty asks.

"Well, Ghost, it went about as well as I thought it would so yeah pretty great," I say smiling.

"Well don't forget the day's not over yet," She says dropping the bear and pulling me in for a kiss.

"You two are just gonna make out in front of us have you no shame," Bobby says fake gagging. Still kissing Kitty I just flip him off.
