X-Force #3

Opening scene Logan, Jean and Peter are in Germany responding to a distress call sent out by Raven Darkholme a spy that gathers intel for Xavier.

"Remember Logan we need information on Raven so you can't kill these guys," I say to Logan snarling with his claws out. My spider-sense flared and I heard gun-shots Jean used her powers and caught all the bullets midair.

"You two just going to stand there or do you want me to do all the work," Jean said as she released her hold on the bullets and let them fall on the ground. Logan rushed toward the direction of the gunfire and I chased after him. In the woods, I saw three men with assault rifles pointed at us I webbed the ends of guns blocking any bullets from coming out and Logan retracted his claws and punched the first two. The soldiers went limp and passed out while the third tried to run away but I web-lined his foot and dragged him back towards us. I tased him and put him over my shoulder and walked back out to the clearing where Jean had been waiting.

"Jean your turn read this guy's mind for us please," I said dropping the soldier on the ground. Jean touched the man's temples and said: "He doesn't know much he's never seen, Raven".

"So we'll grab another one then," Logan said angrily.

"Wait," Jean said, "He does know of a spy caught earlier today".

"Great does he know where they're keeping her," I ask.

"No, but he does know where their base of operations is," Jean said standing up. "Follow me their base isn't far from here". Logan and I walked behind Jean as she leads us to their headquarters. After a few minutes of walking, we saw it. A large building with an electric fence guarding it with one road in and out.

"Raven's in their" Jean pointed at the building.

"Alright what's the plan even we can't fight all of them without getting caught," I said

"Speak for yourself kid" Logan responded slightly offended.

"I've got a plan I can cause a distraction having all their security focus on one area allowing you two to sneak and get Raven," Jean said. We all got into position Jean was going to use her telekinesis to cause an uproar on the south side of the building letting me and Logan sneak right into the main entrance and once we're in we find Raven and Jean flies the Blackbird to pick us up in fifteen minutes. Just then I heard an explosion.

"Wow remind me to never piss Jean off," I say to no one in particular.

"Get your head out your ass it's go time" Logan yelled as he started running towards the entrance while the guards were distracted.

"I'm right behind you" I started to run behind Logan. We made it through the front gate no problem I webbed up all the cameras I saw, and Logan and I stuck to the shadows trying to stay unnoticed. Once inside I saw this place was some kind of lab there were scientist walking around with the guards.

"Hey Logan can you smell Raven now," I ask

"Yeah she's below us" Logan points towards the ground pops his claws and cuts a hole in the floor. I jump down it's dark so I turn on my night vision and see a room full of empty human-sized cages.

"Logan you seeing this," I say disgusted imagining all the sick experiments that would need people-sized cages.

"Yeah don't worry kid that's what we're here for we stop tragedies like this" Logan said. Logan sniffed the air and said, "Follow me she's close by". We walk past all the cage and I see a woman cuffed to a wall. She has blue skin and red hair wearing what looks to be a leather bodysuit. The woman looks unconscious and is stirring in her sleep.

"Raven" Logan says as he slashes open her restraints and tries to wake her up. As she opens her eyes I see she has yellow pupil-less eyes.

"I think she was drugged Logan let's just get her out of here," I say. Then I heard someone from behind me scream I turn and see a short balding man wearing a lab coat. He starts screaming something in German that based on context clues is probably along the lines of "Guards kill the intruders". "Logan we need to go" I web up the man screaming so he can't alert any guards but it's too late I hear people coming probably to see what the screaming was about. Logan picks up Raven princess style and we run towards the hole Logan made. I easily jump up a floor and help Logan make the climb.

"Here kid hold her" Logan passes me the unconscious woman and proceeds to make another hole in the wall in front of us leading outside. We rush past the guards who just look confused seeing three people flee from inside their base and see the Blackbird coming our way. My spider-sense starts to go off and I hear the soldiers start to fire shots at us. As soon as we are under the Blackbird all three of us start to float up to the jet.

"Everyone ok," Jean asks

"Yep fly us out of here Jean," I say in a hurry. We fly for a few minutes and I can finally breathe I didn't even realize I was holding my breath till I finally relaxed. Just as I got comfortable Raven woke up with a panic.

"Where am I who are you?" Raven says looking at me.

"It's ok you're safe" Logan walks over to her side and says.

"Logan you got my distress signal" she pauses for a moment and collects herself "What took you so long," she says now calm.

"How did you get caught" Logan retorts "You're getting sloppy" Logan jokes.

"I am not sloppy one of the guards was just able to get one over on me," Raven says in her defense.

"The Raven I know is a master spy who would never let anyone get one over on her face it you're getting old" Logan says with a smile on his face. Raven pulled a gun from I don't even know where and pointed it at Logan.

"Your gonna shoot me over a joke," Logan says holding up his hands.

"I've shot people for less and plus it's not even close to the first time I've threatened to shoot you," Raven says with a sly smile.

"Missed you too Raven," Logan said pulling her in for a hug. Raven looks up and makes eye contact with me again.

"Are you Peter Parker?" she asks as she breaks away from Logan.

"Yeah, how do you know me," I ask.

"Charles told me about you said you were a true talent," she says and looks me over.

"Hope I'm not a disappointment," I say.

"Were here" Jean interrupts. I look out the Blackbird window and see an unfamiliar city with some kind of jazz parade going on.

"Wait this isn't New York where are we," I ask.

"New Orleans," Raven says "My home".

"We're dropping her off then well fly back" Logan states. We land out of sight in the woods and walk a few miles to what looks like an apartment complex. Raven gets a key and before she can unlock the door it opens and I see a middle-aged woman with short black hair and sunglasses on.

"Raven," the woman says embracing Raven. "I was so worried how are you".

"You're the one that can see the future you tell me," Raven says back then pulls the woman in for a passionate kiss.

"Should we be here do we need to leave?" I say surprised at the sudden display of affection. The black-haired woman breaks the kiss and says "Oh where are my manners come in you must be hungry I was just about done with dinner". We all walk in and see a cozy little apartment with art on the walls a fully stocked kitchen and a little dining room table.

Raven says "Jean, Peter this is Destiny my wife Destiny this is Peter and Jean".

"Nice to meet you," I say politely. Raven looks at Destiny and asks "Where is Anna Marie I want to introduce her to our guests".

"She's in her room" Destiny responds. "Anna Raven's home" Destiny yells.

As soon as she said that a teenage girl with long brown hair with a white streak in it emerged from the back room. She looked about sixteen and wore gloves even though no skin was exposed her figure was plain for all eyes to see. Don't get me wrong Kitty is beautiful but this Anna girl is drop-dead gorgeous with a figure to match.

"Raven," The girl says running up to Raven and giving her a hug. "Are you ok you were supposed to be home yesterday".

"I'm fine but more importantly we have guests," Raven says pointing the girl in our direction.

"Uncle Logan" The girl squeals and hugs Logan. Logan seems weirdly at home with this family it's actually kind of sweet.

"You're getting big Anna," Logan says tossing her hair.

"Hey don't mess with my hair," Anna said slightly angry.

"I'd like you to meet my teammates" He points to us and says "The woman's name is Jean and the kid is Peter". Anna looks at me for a second before she walked up to me and says "Hi I'm Anna Marie your cute". I'm at a loss for words that this beautiful girl is openly flirting with me. Before I can say anything Logan pipes up and says "Peter touch my Goddaughter and you die".

"Don't mind him?" Anna says not breaking eye contact "What's your story," she says getting even closer to me.

"Anna let the boy breath and help Destiny with dinner," Raven says breaking Anna away from me.

"You and Uncle Logan are such buzzkills," Anna says walking over to the kitchen. We all have dinner I try to subdue Anna's flirting with me by telling her I have a girlfriend but it doesn't seem to help. Logan has to pry her off of us when we leave. On the Blackbird going home, Jean teases me nonstop about Anna and what Kitty would do if she found out. We arrive at the X-Mansion report the mission successful to Xavier and I go to my room and pass out from all the excitement of almost dying, getting hit on, and getting my life threatened for getting hit on.
