Chapter 22: The Sinister Seventeen

**Dr. Octopus:** "Meet the Sinister Seventeen, Spider. Run if you can."

Peter thought in his head: Since when did this start?

**Jason:** Since the beginning, Pete.

**Ben:** They never really took you seriously. They just thought of you as an annoying bug they could crush at any moment.

**Togi:** For them, you were just a loser who would send them to jail or wouldn't do anything serious to harm them. Look at them—they were cowering when you were in different suits. Even in the noir suit, they were cautious of you. The spider suit just gave them a green light, saying it's the same sucker but in different costumes.

**Peter:** Why? Why have such an opinion of me?

**Garou:** Because you didn't take care of them seriously. I get it, you don't kill, but there are limits, Pete.

**Natsu:** Being kind is good, Peter, but excessive kindness to your enemies is not. Believe me, I've seen it countless times. Beating and tying my friends in the middle of town to make an example out of them—I've done it. I beat my enemies until they surrendered or were out of it.

**Goku:** Pete, I'm a pretty nice and chill guy, but even I had to kill my enemies when they threatened my friends, my family, my world, and peace. I'm a warrior before everything, Pete. I'm a Saiyan; it's in my blood. No matter what, I will fight.

**Issei:** Killing them isn't necessary, but make sure they don't come back. Feed it into their minds that messing with you is the last thing they want to do.

**Jason:** Pete, I know some of them can change and you want to help, but leave a message to the world that Spider-Man won't stay quiet.

**Ddraig:** Son, whatever you do, I and the boys are with you. But idiotic kindness is useless.

**Peter sighed:** Violence was never the answer.

**All of them tried to rebuke:** Peter—

**Peter continued:** Violence was your question, right?

**Peter with a new glow in his eyes:** Well, the answer is yes.

**Togi:** Damn, you had me in the first part.

**Peter laughed:** I promise, whatever I am going to do to them, death will be a mercy in comparison. I'm going to make these fuckers arachnophobic.

**Peter:** But before that, we have to put these fuckers to the ground. I have a plan. Ben, that alien you told me about...

Peter explained his plan to them.

**Ben:** Peter, you are a genius.

**Jason with an excited tone:** This is going to be interesting.

**Natsu:** Pete, every day is amazing because of you.

**Issei:** That's my little brother to you.

**Goku:** You're evil-minded, but I like you.

**Garou & Togi:** START THE HUNTING SEASON!!

Back on the battlefield...

**Dr. Octopus:** What is it, cat got your tongue?

**Peter:** Answer one of my questions. You called them because Sinister Twelve wasn't as poetic as Sinister Six, right?

**Dr. Octopus** with veins popping on his head: "I called them to beat you up, you fucking bug."

**Peter** tilted his head: "Looks like just five more extras to me. Sinister Sixteen sounds more fun than Sinister Seventeen. Not that I mind beating one more up."

Hearing Peter say this, the spiders, Hope, Laura, Roxanne, and even the cameraman started laughing.

**Female Electro:** "You're still as annoying as ever, you bug."

**Beetle:** "That never-stopping mouth of yours—I never knew a bug would buzz so much."

**Sandman:** "You're crossing lines you shouldn't."

**Hydro-Man:** "A splash of water, and this bug will know his place."

**Peter:** "Hey, spiders are not bugs. They are arachnids, a class of arthropods. And funny hearing that word from you, Beetle. You are a bug."

**Hobgoblin:** "Nobody gives a damn about spiders being bugs or whatnot. Fight us, Spider."

**Miles:** "Spider-Man, let us help you."

**Jessica:** "Yeah, let's show these shits what we can do."

**Ben:** "We'd be happy to help, Spidey."

**Gwen:** "There are many of them. Let's fight together."

**Hope:** "We'd be glad to help."

**Laura:** "Let's do it like old times."

**Peter raised his eyebrows:** "Where was this 'help' of yours when I needed it the most?"

The spiders were ashamed and had their heads down.

**Miles tried to say:** "Well, you remember we were catching those goons—"

**Peter didn't let him finish:** "Quit making excuses. Didn't need your help back then, don't need it now either."

**Kraven & Chameleon:** "Looks like Spider is angry with his friends. What are you going to do, fight us alone while switching in those fancy suits?"

Peter then powered down the spider suit and was back in his noir suit.

**Dr. Octopus:** "No other suit is going to save you, Spider. Or are you surrendering?"

**Peter:** "Otto, remember when you all ambushed me at that warehouse?"

**Dr. Octopus** laughed: "Yeah, and we freaking loved it. Your condition was worse than a beggar."

**Peter:** "Yeah, and after that day, I took some time and vowed to myself, never again. I will never let that happen to myself again. All I have in this world is myself. No family, friends, allies, or loved ones will help you. Thank you for making me realize that."

The spiders, other heroes, and Roxanne were shocked.

**Gwen panicked:** "Pe-Spidey, please don't do—"

**Peter:** "Shut up. I am not talking to you."

**Dr. Octopus** widened his eyes, excited: "You're welcome, Spider. What do you say? The heroes are boring. Mind coming to the dark side?"

**Peter:** "Nah, man. I am still a hero, always will be. Once a hero, always a hero."

**Peter continued:** "And as my new big brother used to say, 'It's hero time.'"

**Peter:** "Echo Ditto, Echo Ditto."

Peter turned into a fusion of Echo Echo DNA and Ditto DNA. He then made seven copies, and together with them, transformed. Now they could all see eight identical Peters all at once.

**Dr. Octopus:** "What the fuck are you trying to do, Spider?"

**Peter:** "Well, nothing much." (showed his spider morpher) "Ready!!"

The seven clones: "Ready."

**Peter:** "It's morphing time."

Peter used the spider morpher: "Spider morpher, power up."

Clone 1 used the wolf morpher: "Calling on to the Spirit of the Courageous Wolf."

Clone 2 used Regulus Nemea: "Calling on to the Spirit of the Mighty Lion, Balance Breaker."

Clone 3 with boosted gear: "White Welsh Dragon, Balance Breaker."

Clone 4: "Dragon Drakken Morpher, activate."

Clone 5: "Monkey King Dragon Armor!! Come Nyoibo."

Clone 6 with the special red lantern ring: "In darkest age, in brightest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Through wrath and hope, and fear and love, with will and life, I rise above. To cast away the deepest dread, by my Red Lantern's might, let vengeance spread."

Clone 7: "Chrono Spanner suit, activate."

Now they saw eight individuals in different suits and armors.

**Peter:** "Now, what do we call ourselves?"

**Lion clone:** "The Mighty Beasts."

**Wolf clone:** "That's fucking bland."

**Monkey clone:** "The Warriors would be nice too."

**Drakken clone:** "That's too generic."

**Dragon clone:** "Hey, how about Super Seven?"

**Red Lantern clone:** "There are eight of us, idiot. And 'The Super Seven'—what are we, six years old?"

**Chrono Spanner clone:** "This is too tiresome."

**Peter:** "How about 'The Nexus'?"

**All the clones:** "Are you sure about that? You know who it belongs to, right?"

**Nexus:** [I approve of this.]

**Peter:** "Then, let's do this."

Back on the battlefield, the clones each took their positions.

**Peter** was facing Dr. Octopus, Vulture, and Beetle.

**Wolf Ranger** was fighting against Chameleon and Tombstone.

**Lion Warrior** was fighting against Kraven and Shocker.

**Red Lantern** was fighting against Hobgoblin and Scorpion.

**Dragon Warrior** was fighting against Hydro-Man and Rhino.

**Drakken** was fighting against both Electros.

**Monkey King** was fighting Sandman and Speed Demon.

**Chrono Spanner** was fighting against Hammerhead and Lizard.

Peter vs. Dr. Octopus, Vulture, and Beetle:

Peter stood his ground, eyes narrowing as Dr. Octopus advanced with mechanical arms flailing. The mechanical arms shot out, aiming to crush him. With agility that defied their assumptions, Peter flipped and twisted in mid-air, dodging the grasping arms. Vulture swooped in from above, talons outstretched. Peter shot webbing at Vulture's wings, causing him to veer off course and

crash into Beetle.

Peter didn't let up. He launched a barrage of web balls, each one aimed with precision. Beetle's armor absorbed most of the impact, but the sheer force of the attacks made him stagger. Dr. Octopus lunged again, but Peter, anticipating the move, grabbed two of the mechanical arms and used them to swing Octopus into Vulture, who was just regaining his footing. The three villains ended up in a tangled heap.

Wolf Ranger vs. Chameleon and Tombstone:

Wolf Ranger, drawing on Garou's martial arts, faced off against Chameleon and Tombstone. Chameleon tried to blend into the surroundings, but Wolf Ranger's heightened senses detected him. With a swift kick, he sent Chameleon crashing into a wall.

Tombstone, with his superhuman durability, charged at Wolf Ranger. The two clashed in a brutal melee, fists flying. Wolf Ranger's speed and agility outmatched Tombstone's raw strength. He landed a series of rapid punches, each one finding its mark, until Tombstone was on his knees, defeated.

Lion Warrior vs. Kraven and Shocker:

Lion Warrior, harnessing Togi's cursed energy technique, created barriers to block Shocker's electric blasts. Kraven circled, trying to find an opening. With a roar, Lion Warrior charged, his fists glowing with energy. He smashed through Kraven's traps and delivered a crushing blow to Shocker, sending him flying.

Kraven lunged with a knife, but Lion Warrior sidestepped and countered with a powerful uppercut. Kraven fell to the ground, dazed and defeated.

Red Lantern vs. Hobgoblin and Scorpion:

Red Lantern, channeling the emotional spectrum, created constructs of rage and fear. Hobgoblin and Scorpion found themselves trapped in a web of red energy. Red Lantern's constructs tightened, squeezing the life out of them. Hobgoblin tried to throw pumpkin bombs, but Red Lantern's energy shield deflected them. With a final surge of power, he sent both villains crashing to the ground, unconscious.

Dragon Warrior vs. Hydro-Man and Rhino:

Dragon Warrior, with Issei's boosted and divine divide gears, controlled the battlefield. Hydro-Man tried to engulf him in water, but Dragon Warrior manipulated the water, turning it into a weapon against Hydro-Man. Rhino charged, but Dragon Warrior's enhanced strength met his charge head-on. With a boosted punch, he shattered Rhino's armor and trapped Hydro-Man in a vortex of water.

Drakken vs. Both Electros:

Drakken, with Natsu's fire magic, absorbed and redirected the electrical attacks. Flames danced around him as he surrounded himself with fire. The Electros couldn't get close without being burned. With a powerful fire dragon roar, Drakken sent both villains crashing to the ground, their electrical powers neutralized.

Monkey King vs. Sandman and Speed Demon:

Monkey King, drawing on Goku's power, used his staff to keep Speed Demon at bay while unleashing energy blasts at Sandman. Speed Demon tried to outpace him, but Monkey King moved faster, outmaneuvering him at every turn. Sandman, trying to reform, was solidified by intense heat. Monkey King then used his staff to break Sandman into pieces and knocked out Speed Demon with a single blow.

Chrono Spanner vs. Hammerhead and Lizard:

Chrono Spanner, with Ben's biomnitrix and Gwen's magic, summoned alien forms and magical constructs to subdue Hammerhead and Lizard. He created a time bubble, slowing their movements. Hammerhead's charges were easily dodged, and Lizard's strength was countered with magical barriers. With precise attacks, Chrono Spanner incapacitated both villains, leaving them helpless.

The clones returned to Peter, who stood over the defeated Sinister Seventeen. The battlefield was littered with the unconscious bodies of his enemies, all tied up with webbing.

**Miles:** "Pe—Spider-Man, thank—"

**Peter** gestured with his hands to stop. He then gestured towards the clones, who nodded.

Dragon and Drakken clone took the spiders, Hope, and Laura to the side.

**Gwen:** "Hey, what are you doing?"

**Jessica:** "Stop, let us meet Spidey."

**Cindy:** "Let us go, you stupid clones."

**Miles:** "Hey, we are Peter's friends."

**Ben:** "What's going on with you all?"

**Roxanne:** "Mr. Clone, please let us talk to Spider-Man."

**Dragon clone:** "Shut up, just go to the side, useless idiots."

**All of them:** "Hey..."

**Drakken clone:** "Please don't mind him. Just go to the side, I request."

Seeing Drakken's attitude, they thought to comply with him.

Then the other clones with Dragon and Drakken formed a force shield around the area surrounding Peter and the Sinister Seventeen.

**Dr. Octopus:** "What are you trying to do, Spider?"

**Peter:** "I came for two purposes here, Otto: saving and justice. Saving is done. Now it's time for justice."
