Special Chapter 1: Dream

Matthew was sitting on the chair next to Zayden's bed. Zayden has been unconscious for 2 days since the accident. Zayden and Nathan were involved in an accident.

Matthew looked at his friend's face. He sighed and leaned back in his chair. He was thinking of how he was going to tell Zayden about Nathan. What should he say? Should he be honest?

Matthew took out his phone from his pocket and he dialed Nolio's number.

Matthew: Hello, Nolio.

Nolio: Hello, Matthew. Why did you call me?

Matthew: Where are you right now?

Nolio: I am still taking care of Nathan's things here.

Matthew: Is everything okay?

Nolio: Okay, Matthew. It should be settle within an hour. I already took the document too.

Matthew: Okay, it's good then.

Nolio: How about Zayden?

Matthew: He is not conscious yet.

Nolio: Matthew...

Matthew: Hmmm?

Nolio: How should you tell him about Nathan later?

Matthew take a deep sigh.

Matthew: I don't know, Nolio. If I say the truth, I'm sure he won't accept it. You knew he loved Nathan so much.

Nolio: I know but I think we should tell him the truth. He needs to know about this.

Matthew: I'll try my best.

Nolio: Okay, I'll hang up now. Take care, Matthew.

Matthew: You too, Nolio.

Suddenly he heard the sound of the door being opened from outside. Matthew looked at the door. It's Zayden's father and grandma. Both of them walked towards Zayden's bed. Matthew bow a little to them.

Matthew: Sawadeekrub, uncle...grandma...

Mr. Pwen: How about Zayden? He is not conscious yet?

Matthew: Not yet, uncle.

Mr. Pwen take a deep breath while looking at his son's face. Since the accident a few days ago, he always felt unwell. He was worried that something bad would happen to his son. The day where they should celebrate Christmas, Zayden and Nathan's accident. Due to the accident, their family did not have a chance to celebrate Christmas together. They only accompany Zayden in the hospital.

Grandma: Matthew...

Matthew: Krub, grandma?

Grandma: Did you have your dinner yet?

Matthew: Not yet, grandma.

Grandma: Why don't you have a dinner first? I'll take care of Zayden here. You need to eat too naa.

Matthew: It's okay, grandma. I'll wait here until he wake up.

Grandma: Matthew, please eat na..I know you are worried but please take care of yourself too.

Matthew sighed and he look at Zayden.

Grandma: Please eat naa, Matthew.

Matthew: Alright, grandma.

Matthew then stepped out of Zayden's ward room. He walked towards the hospital cafe.

Zayden's grandmother sat on a chair. She reached for Zayden's right hand and held it tightly. Her eyes looked at the face of her beloved grandson for a long time.

Grandma: I can't imagine how will he react when he know about Nathan.

Mr. Pwen: Me too, Ma. He loves Nathan so much and I know he will not accept the fact that Nathan... (He can't continue his word)

Grandma: He already met his happiness, Nathan but things turn out like this.

Grandma look at Zayden again as she said, "But I know, Zayden is strong. Nathan taught him well before."

Suddenly grandma felt Zayden's hand that she was holding moved slowly.

Grandma: Zayden? (She look at Zayden)

Zayden opened both eyes slowly. He was surprised when he felt like he had just cried. His hands immediately touch his head. It just feel a little bit hurt. Then, he looked at his grandmother and father.

Grandma: Pwen, call the doctor !

Mr. Pwen immediately walked out from the room and he's going to call the doctor since Zayden already woke up.

Grandma: Zayden...

Zayden: Grandma...

Grandma: Hmmm?

Zayden: Ian...

Grandma was speechless when she heard Zayden say Nathan's name.

Grandma: Yes? Why?

Zayden: Where is Ian, grandma?

Grandma: Err...

Zayden: I dreamed about him, grandma.

Zayden's dream...

Zayden was walking while holding Nathan's right hand. The two of them were walking along the beach enjoying the atmosphere of the night at that time. The moon became their companion. Suddenly Nathan stopped running. Zayden looked at Nathan's face.

Nathan: Hia...

Zayden: Hmm?

Nathan: I love you.

Zayden: I love you too, Ian.

Nathan: I love you so much, Hia.

Zayden: ...

Nathan: I love you so so so much.

Zayden immediately looked at Nathan's face when he heard Nathan can't stop from saying the word I love you.

Nathan look into Zayden's eyes and he smile sweetly.

Nathan: Hia...

Zayden: ....

Nathan: Even if I'm die, please don't stop from loving me na...

Zayden: Ian, this is so sudden. Don't make me worried.

Nathan: You can find a new one and you can love him or her but please...please don't forget that you ever loved me with all your heart...can you do that, Hia?

Zayden: Ian...

Zayden move closer to Nathan and he try to reached Nathan's hand but suddenly he can't reach them. He look at Nathan and Nathan was smiling to him.

But why did Nathan seems like he will disappear? Zayden can't touch him at all. Nathan is disappearing from Zayden's eyes.

Zayden: Ian... (He's tearing up)

He saw Nathan smile at him while waving his hand to Zayden.

Zayden: Are you really going to disappear, Ian? You said you love naa but you leave me.

End of Zayden's dream...

Zayden look at his grandma's face after he finished talking about his dreams.

Zayden: Where is Ian, grandma?

Grandma still in silent. She didn't know how to answer Zayden's question.

Zayden: Grandma...where is Ian? Why you took so long to answer me?

Zayden saw his grandma start to tear up.

Zayden: Don't tell me the dream is true, grandma.

Grandma: No, Zayden.

Zayden: Liar !

Grandma: Zayden, listen.

Zayden: I want to find Ian.

Zayden wakes up from bed. He pulled out all the wires that attached to his body roughly. In his mind at that time, he needed to find Nathan. After he pulled out all the wires on his body, he immediately got off the bed. He fell when his feet hit the floor. In fact, his condition was still weak at that time but he ignored his weak state. He tried his best to get back up.

Zayden: I need to find Ian. (He said to himself)

That time, suddenly his father come insede the room with a doctor.

Mr. Pwen: Zayden? Where are you going?

Zayden: I want to find Ian, Pa.

Doctor: Your condition is still weak. I need to check your condition, sir.

Zayden: Doctor, do you have a patient named Nathan Ian? Did you know him, doctor?

Doctor: Sir, you need to be checked first.

Zayden walked towards the door but he fell again. He realizes that he is still weak but he has to be strong. He had to find Nathan. He tried to get up again but failed. Mr. Pwen walked towards Nathan and he look into his son's eyes.

Mr. Pwen: Zayden, don't be like this. Let me carry you to your bed. The doctor need to check your condition first.

Zayden: No, Pa. I want to see Nathan. Where is he, Pa? (Zayden was crying)

Mr. Pwen: ...

Zayden: Why are both of you keep silent when I ask about Ian? What happened to him, Pa? Tell me he's okay. PLEASE TELL ME HE'S OKAY, PA !

Mr. Pwen still in silent. He just looking at his son. He try to find a way how to tell his son about Nathan.

Zayden: ANSWER ME, PA !

Mr. Pwen hug his son tightly while saying, "I will bring you to meet him but I hope you will be strong."
