[7 Years Later...]

Today was a Saturday so Hayden did not go to high school, much to his disappointment.

School was an escape for Hayden. At school, he always showed a bright and innocent persona. He is very popular and adored by the entire student body at Roseburg High School.

He glanced at the time and he paled in fear.

'Oh no, I woke up late.'

"Get up, you fucking slut." Hayden's mother screeched from upstairs.

Hayden bolted out of the basement, the place he lived for the past 7 years.

"Make my breakfast now before I tell your father!"

"Yes, Madam." Hayden replied with a dull tone.

He knew better than to show emotion to his so-called mother.

Hayden began his usual routine.

He made pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon.

When he finished, he placed the plate full of food onto the table for his mother to eat. He also grabbed the syrup and put it on the table.

"Where is my milk, you good for nothing brat!!!" His mother screeched.

"Sorry, Madam. I will go get it immediately." Hayden said as he bowed his head.

He rushed towards the fridge and opened it. Hayden's hands trembled when he found out that there was no milk.

"Fuck." Hayden muttered as he nibbled his lips, accidentally drawing bright red blood.

He felt a sharp pain in his arm. He looked down to find out that it was his mother who scratched him with her long fake nails.

"I. Want. My. Milk. Now!" His mother said every word slowly with a tone laced with venom.

Hayden shivered in fear.

"Of course, Madam. I will only take 30 minutes to go to the corner store if you will kindly allow me to leave the house and drive."

His mother spat out, "Fine! But if you don't come back within 30 minutes, I will call your father to come back home from his business trip, and you wouldn't want that to happen, would you faggot?!"

Hayden nodded.

"I don't. Please Madam, don't call Sir. May I have the keys?"

Hayden's mother scoffed and said, "Here," as she tossed him her keys.

Hayden scurried out of the kitchen and ran out the house. He got into his mother's white car and left for the corner store to get some milk.
