Chapter 5 : Shadows in the dark.

After giving a few orders to Carteon, Marshack leaves the Lunch Area, going outside the Institute, straight to an open field.

Surrounding his body with Electrons and shooting himself upwards, piercing the sky as if he were a railgun projectile.

Ignoring or more precisely, surpassing the Isolation and Restriction Barriers, the former appears at 23.5 Vulq (117.5km) of altitude, extend for a Vulq (5km) and prevents the Hûrngöth from leaving the planet, "Hûlfhednär".

The latter barrier is more challenging, as gravity, pulls you back to the ground, but the force increase the further the advancement is until you leave the atmosphere.

Back in the past, concretely the first years of Marshack's life, he wanted the company of a foreign female, attempting to cross the Isolation Barrier to reach her, and he failed, not seeing that woman ever again since then.

Marshack, as the Absolute Apex of his Species, and obviously not being anymore an "Almost you count like a newborn", has become capable of achieving this difficult prose, reaching the vacuum of space in the next seconds.

A moment before of leaving the atmosphere, he employs the [Active Adarga], metalizing his light burgundy skin in a dark burgundy flexible natural exoarmor, that empowers Marshack's body an enhance further the overall capabilities he possess.

But the primordial focus of this "Evolution Development" is defense and resiliency, on top of that, breathing becomes entirely optional.

Which is why, he is using this, as a precaution in case the vacuum mask breaks like it did to him and Callius in "That" planet.

From his new location, Marshack is able to observe Hûlfhednär in its entirety, which quickly causes his attention to be subdued by a ridiculous view.

Kern's City is levitating in the horizon, rapidly ascending towards the atmosphere while a trail of molten metal is compressed and sucked into ducts at the bottom of the urban edification.

{That molten metal is Hûlfhednär Nucleus!}.

His astonishment doesn't make him weaver and he instantly is eager to destroy the City, Unfortunately the last remaining drips of the Nucleus are absorbed.

A pink spatial rift distorts what lies in front of Kern's City, a gigantic translucent yellow Shield envelopes the structure and a pink energy leaves the rift, covering and pulling the Gargantual edification inside.

In the next moment Kern's City dissaper, the Spatial rift closes and an indescribable powerful gravity wave is what remains from the event occurred, shattering into oblivion a sixth part of Hûlfhednär surface and fragmenting the rest of the planet.

Marshack receive head on the blast of Hûlfhednär parcial explosion with his transluscent yellowish Personal Shield, the remaining gravity wave push him away, passing near two planets in a couple of seconds.

The movement doesn't diminish and he keeps advancing towards the confines of the Solar Sistem where the Reclusion Barrier makes it impossible to leave it.

Or that was before, since Marshack crosses the perimeter that a few months ago he was barely able to venture a few Vul (some meters) inside, after all, there is no Barrier anymore.

His inability to slow down is concerning and confuses him even more the fact that he is still speeding up to an extent he doesn't understand, because should be unattainable due to his knowledge.

The acceleration continues increasing, as the distance between him and his Homeworld, until Marshack feels another pull.

{The sensation is similar to sink in the training pool, but way harsher}.

Unable to stop himself the attraction force augments more and he enters in a completely new and unknown realm.

Different to the vacuum of space, everything is surrounded by a light grey viscous energy that augment the velocity again.

{I can't see anything aside this viscous fluid}.

This new location is impeding all Marshack's different types of view, including the [Bicromy].

Unbeknown to him, nothing else is out there.

Not being capable of seeing anything is a disturbing expirience for the young Hûrngöth, but the place facilitate his control over himself, not having the gravity push, allows him to stop the acceleration, leaving immediately this new realm and returning to the normal space vacuum.

Once out of that place, Marshack is far, too far from his Solar Sistem but is still able to observe it and return to it, should be viable in a few hours with his usual speed.

But the region of space he is right now has several creatures, lurking in the void, sensing his every move ready to have a fest on his flesh.

{My instincts are warning me, that something in this place is amiss}.

Marshack observe carefully and attentively the emptiness that surrounds him, unable to perceive what stalks him.

Doesn't take longer to have one bold creature launching an [Agglomeration] of Vanta Plasma, the black energy impacts Marshack's nape but the translucent yellowish Energy Shield protects him.

{I didn't detect the energy until it hits me, i can't track it back, and i don't see who or what attacked me}.

Another [Agglomeration] strikes his left shoulder and a couple of creatures pounces at Marshack from his back and right side.

The Personal Shield defends him of any possible danger, and the action perpetrated by the creatures is revealing the apparency they possess by sending kinetic feedback to Marshack's brain.

The creatures are in a plasmatic state, having a semi solid structure, everything is vanta black, from his elongated head with ample mandibles and sturdy teeth, to his bulb thorax, 4 arms of 3 segments with 2 large claws oriented like the cardinal points, and the 4 tentacles on his lower abdomen as middle cardinal points respectively with the arms, having a total height of 4½ Vul (2.25 meters).

This creatures keeps pawing at Marshack without stopping for a few more seconds.

During this time, the young Hûrngöth learn how to distinguish the silhouette of this creatures and counterattack.

Covering his left fist with visible Kinetic Energy, the translucent aqua green intensifie and Marshack punch the head of one creature.

The damage is substantial but not fatal or definitive, which makes the creature back away hastily, launching 2 [Agglomeration] of Vanta Plasma, both attacks failing due to the poor and rushed performance of the creature.

{I can see the silhouettes of their attacks or these creatures if they are within 650 Vul (325 meters) of distance, that is marginal considering the vastness of this region}.

The other creatures keeps attacking relentlessly, trying to destroy the translucent yellowish Personal Shield with no progress at all.

Whatsoever, Marshack produce an emition of Electrons that stunned momentarily the creatures before getting their heads pulverized by a single strike of the Apex of the Hûrngöth.

{I am aware that the amount of Kinetic Energy employed by me was 3 folds higher, but this incremental damage is coused by the Electrons, they interfere with their molecular design and amplifies the result}.

With this newfound opportunity, Marshack creates a cluster of electrons and emits a powerful shock wave, spreading rapidly through the vacuum tens of thousands of Vulq away in all directions.

This kills, immobilize or incapacitate all the creatures in an expansive area due to Marshack's doing, but this comes to an end with the gravity wave of before, reaching him again.

In this occasion he withstand the push back after retreat several Vulq, finally coming forward and advance, heading towards his Solar Sistem with a speed utterly impossible in his personal knowledge and understandings.
