"Huh?" she asked, a few crumbles falling out of her mouth but she just shoved them back and kept chewing loudly, her mind wandering back to Zeke when they were arguing about who chews louder. She laughed softly at the memory, her eyes falling on her lap as her eyes became moist and blurry.

"It'll be a week tomorrow," she said adamantly.

"Yup. I'll be over him. Tomorrow," she said, not realising that that is what she has been saying ever since Monday. She forced herself to focus on the work in front of her. Max was out with some friends at a party that started Friday and will end Saturday midnight, so it was just them in the dorm.

"Let's go to that party tomorrow," she said out of the blue. Sage creased her eyebrows. She would have accompanied Max but stayed behind because Karri wanted to come over.
