“Of course,” Dane said. “It’s always work with me.”

“Well, then let’s make sure you relax the next few days. There’s a nice gym and a heated pool at the hotel. You can shower in a real bathroom instead of that locker room. The restaurant is damn near amazing. Eat what you want; it’s on me. I booked the room for three days. I figure we’ll be able to be on the roads more after that, but if not, we’ll book it for longer. I hope you don’t mind, but I only took out one room. I thought you might get bored if you were alone too much.”

“Great,” Dane said.

Heath smiled, unsure what to think of his big boss.

“Well then, grab your stuff and meet me in the lobby. I’ll tidy up in here,” Mr. Pristine said. “And thanks for getting those loans out, boys. The lending company was as impressed as I was.”

“You’re quite welcome,” Dane said, moving toward the door.

“Yeah, thanks,” Heath said.

“One more thing, Sanders,” Mr. Pristine said as they were almost out the door. “Quick word with you.”
