Snow in the hot weather

Hailey woods"I turned as I heard my name.. " How may I help you? "I said as I adjusted my gown and looked up to see a beauty staring at me... " Maybe coming for this internship isn't that bad" I admitted as I stared at her lips... " You will be staying with me for awhile until we find a room for you"she said.. remorsefully but I didn't really mind spending my whole life with the goddess in front of you For a minute..I didn't care if she was straight or gay ..I was gonna make her mine

Winter Green.....

Few days ago...

"Oh come on Mom, I'm fine and I will get someone when I'm ready... "I said as I tried to avoid my mom's questions.. coming home was definitely a bad idea...

"why haven't I seen you with a man?!

Are you gay?!

Do you hate men?

Do you have sexual problems?

These were all the questions at least the ones I could remember that my mother threw on me every time she was opportune to since I came back home last year .

"I wish Julie was right here, she would know how to handle Mom and all her nagging"I muttered as silent as I could under my breath

Don't you dare walk out on me,Winter.."I could hear her say but I was already long gone by then...

I entered into my car and slammed it shut as I held my head in my hands and slammed it on the steering wheel..

How was I gonna tell my mom about my sexuality?.. she's definitely gonna freak out once she finds out that I ain't bisexual that I was really gay...

I drove in circles for a while trying to clear my mind from the whole thing that happened this morning..

"What's with mothers and marriage?" I inquired myself in furstration as I raked my fingers through my black hair..,after a long ride in circles, I decided to head to my older sister's workplace..

As I got into her floor from the elevator, the office was kinda empty

"hey sis" I greeted with a smile on my face as I tried to slip my head halfway through her door

"let me guess, Mom talked about marriage again?" she asked me instead folding her hands across her breasts with a smirk on her face...

"she's so good" I thought as I surrendered to her and sat on the couch

"it's way worse this time..!!" I said with my head on my knees

shhhh.. stop being a baby, Winter"she said as she came over to sit beside me..

I looked at her like a cute puppy who just got lost on her way home..

I was really glad that my older sister was there to support me despite my family background

"why don't you just tell her?!" she asked patting my hair back

"it's not easy, when her older daughter is already married with two kids and you're asking me to tell her I'm gay, Julie!!

Winny, it doesn't matter if I'm married or not, it's all about you"she reassured me

One thing I loved about my sister is that she really knew how to solve a situation

"where's your secretary?" I asked as I reached out to wipe off the tears drops on my eyes, changing the topic..

"My secretary?" she inquired with a puzzled look on her face .

The brunette haired girl.." I explained further to clarify who I was referring to

" Hailey woods?" she asked with a smile on her face..

yeah.. Hailey" I said finally remembering her name

why? do you like her?"Julie asked trying me off balance...

I rolled my eyes at her and looked away to try and hide the blush on my face

"Was it too obvious?" I asked myself before turning back to look at my sister when I had made sure that the blush had disappeared..

"I gave her a day off, besides she's not my secretary, she's a co-worker and a really good designer" she finally answered as the awkwardness faded away

"why, are you sick of her already?" I asked interested to know her whereabouts..

Julie got up and sat back down on her desk with her nerd glasses on her hands

"Aren't you getting ready for the internship programme for your branch in San Francisco?"she asked instead completely ignoring my question

I'll be leaving tommorow morning on an early flight, aren't you trying too hard to send your little sister away?"I asked as I pouted out my lips at her...

she smiled instead and handed over an envelope to me ...

"What's this?" I asked as I tried to open up the envelope to examine what lies inside it

"don't open it till you're already halfway to San Francisco"she said immediately stopping my hands from proceeding any further from ripping off the ribbon on the envelope

"Why?" I asked

it's the information you need"she said instead

about?" I asked again trying to get her to spill the beans

"Don't try to eat more than you can handle little sis, that's the only hint I can give you"Julie said as she resumed on the paper work on her desk..

"you can't just drop a bomb on my hands and expect me to keep quiet"I said as I tried to convince her to let me open up the envelope..

Winny, I'm working over here and tell Mom I will come and visit one of these days..

"it was one of the things she said when she was done with a conversation, it was her goodbye!!

uhhhh!!!"I nagged in annoyance as I banged the door behind me...

I walked over to her secretary's desk or her co-worker's desk..before you mutter a word.. I'm not stalking her, I just happened to see her on the desk with her eyes buried on the computer one of the days I visited..

I found it strange that I found her cute at that point..

Didn'tt have the nerve to ask Julie about her because I knew she was definitely gonna tease me about having a crush on her..

"Hailey woods" I muttered as I wiped off the dust particles on her desk

I creeped in a smile as the name escaped my mouth...it sounded so breathtaking on my lips..

No wonder she's beautiful.."I thought as I finally headed to the elevator...

Getting off the elevator when it beeped that I was finally on the underground parking lot, I got into my Mercedes and drove back home..

"This internship programme was definitely a great opportunity for me to get away from my Mom and her questions and get a breathing space"I thought as a smile unconsciously creeped on my face as I pondered on the idea of finally leaving my family house after coming back home from New York a year ago...

I looked over at the passengers' seat where I had carefully dropped the envelope, I was too curious to open it up but knowing my sister..I was pretty sure she must have done something to the envelope to make sure I kept it contained until I was "halfway to San Francisco" as she had quoted..

As I drove home, I wondered what was in the envelope that it had to wait to be opened....
