Chapter 6: The Gleaming Eyes That Follow Your Every Step Part 1:

The man's gaze was now on Vincent, who was staring at him. The blonde-haired man asked Vincent, "Do you want something?" in a somewhat sarcastic voice. Vincent, in response, said it was nothing, but the blonde-haired man brushed his answer off and went on a tangent. "Have you seen this wine bottle before? It is a very rare brand of wine created by a famous pizzaiolo named Izumi, and it has a fruity flavor. It is said to have a mango flavor, and drinking it is said to feel like reaching heaven," the blonde man said in an energetic tone. Vincent rolled his eyes in response and decided to go before the man asked if he was the new night guard working at the manor, which caught Vincent's attention.

Vincent asked how the man knew about that, and the man explained he would be working with him at the manor. Vincent explained to him that he didn't know someone who was going to be working with him. After hearing Vincent's response, the man looked taken aback but explained it in more detail. "Guess your father didn't tell you all the full details, but I would be in charge of taking care of the basement while you take care of the rest of the manor as the security guard," said the blonde man. Vincent asked him convincedly why he would be there just to care for the basement. The blonde man signed and explained that his father had some exotic animals in the basement and he needed to take care of them. "Exotic animals, I never heard about this from dad," said Vincent. The blonde man explains that it must be a communication mishap with your father, so you better clarify things with your dad. "By the way, my name is Jason George." Vincent greeted him as the man went to the cashier to pay for his item. Vincent glanced through the aisle, grabbed the maple Yoshi wine, and went to pay for his item. Vincent left the store after paying when his phone started ringing, and Ben was calling. Vincent answered the call, and Ben explained the situation. Ben needed Vincent to check on some kids who were trespassing on Johnson's property. Vincent agreed to go and check on the kids as he had nothing to do for the rest of the day. Ben thanked Vincent for the help and ended the call after and when that happened Vincent heard a snicker from behind him. The snicker came from Jason who was now looking at Vincent while wearing a smug look while sipping some coffee from his bulldog mug. "The Johnsons' house you say, good luck dealing with them," said Jason. Vincent was simply annoyed by Jason's remark and moved to his car to deal with the issue immediately so he could go and enjoy his day off. Just as he was about to leave, Jason knocked on his window so Vincent lowered his window slowly. "I heard you were going to the Johnsons' house for a trespasser', my guess is just some kids looking for the Fable jeep found in the trail of the Johnsons property" explained Jason. Jason then gave Vincent the directions to find the jeep if needed before walking away from Vincent's vehicle. Jason was then stopped by Vincent who called out his name. "Since we are going to be working together very soon, we might as well get to know each other and besides you seem to know that area very well also" explained Vincent. Jason reluctantly agreed to Vincent's request got into the car with Vincent and left for Johnson's house. It was a 15-minute ride from the wine shop to the Johnson's house and when they came close to the property they saw a vehicle leaving the premise. It could be the intruder leaving or someone else. Once they arrived they were greeted by the owner's son Larry who was waiting for them to arrive. Larry had hazy nut brown hair and a well-kept beard. Larry explained the main gist of the situation. He pointed in the direction of where he saw the intruders. Jason confirmed that the direction he pointed at was the location of the jeep. Jason decided to lead the way to the jeep and Larry decided to come along as well to see the intruders. The three walk in silence for a bit where only the sounds of the woods around the property can be heard. Vincent decided to break the silence by asking Jason how he knew about the Jeep and Jason explained that it was because he had seen the Jeep with Larry before. "So you know Larry" exclaims Vincent and Jason nodded in response. Vincent looked back at Larry who was looking to his right with an irritated look on his face. "So did you guys fight" asked Vincent and Jason just said Larry was pissed that he lost at tennis. Larry in response excuses Jason for cheating during the match but Jason ignores his complaint.

Once they got closer they noticed footprints made in the forest floor. The footprint looks like a child which means the intruder is a child. The three decided to continue walking to the Jeep location while keeping a lookout for the kids. A rustle in the bushes behind them caught Vincent's attention as he turned around. When he did he saw a movement from what seemed to be an animal, specifically a bird. Jason asked Vincent what was wronged and Vincent said he saw an animal move fast behind us. Jason asked Larry if there were any dangerous animals in the woods just in case and Larry responded there shouldn't be any dangerous animals. Larry said there should only be deer, foxes, raccoons and other small animals there. " Larry are you sure if there are any wolves or bears here" asked Jason. Larry said there should be none in a confident tone and nervous smile. Vincent couldn't help but worry about the kids well being.
