The armor-wearing man nodded to me once more before handing me something that I was actually looking for. Taking the Feuermischung off his hands, an invisible wave of relief washed over me as I felt the familiar grip rest smoothly in my hand. The man nodded seemingly in approval before he pointed towards something behind me.
"The rest of your weapons are behind you," the man pointed out. "I don't know why you need so many of them, but I'll let it slide if you can get us out of here. And you might want to shout at your sister."
A switch flipped in my mind at the mention of Lise. Was she okay? Was she still waiting for me? God forbid, did she follow me here?!
"W-where's the exit?" I asked nervously as I hastily strapped my still-hot weapons back to my body.
"Over there," the armor-wearing man pointed a thumb towards my left-hand side. "Don't open it for too long though. The heat might destroy the Seigels keeping us safe."
