Predictably enough, the next time I opened my eyes, instead of the near-infinite expanse of my labyrinthine forge, I was greeted by the clear blue sky as I felt the dull ache coming from the back of my head. Of course, Mathilde would hit me there again.
Sitting back up, Mathilde's inquisitive look was the least of my concerns as I rubbed the back of my head. "That's gonna leave a mark..."
"Doubtful. I only hit you with enough force to stop you from charging," Mathilde clinically defended herself. "You were already drained prior to losing consciousness."
