Breathing out a massive sigh, I hobbled back over to my bed, Lise quickly coming to try and assist me as I climbed back up to the comforts of my personal hospital bed. It was still weird thinking about how we even managed to set up this kind of arrangement at an era where hospitals were barely in their infancy, but I won't fault whatever shortcomings it had when compared to my own modern standards. That was just stupid and entitled thinking.
"You should rest more," Lise chided as she tucked me in, her face clearly upset despite her eyes telling me otherwise. "You almost slipped into a coma again."
I chuckled at the hilarity of the situation. "Then that would only mean I get to wake up feeling better."
