Chapter 15: Forgotten Thing

Jin's POV

I can smell burning plants, burning woods and flesh of living beings.

I hear them whispers, cries and plead and shout help and curse.

I see my neighbors burning, friends being slaved, family being killed and mother's last smile.

As the sword fall down her head, as her head fall down to the ground, the smile still remains in her face and an erasable smile with her eyes shut.

The sweetest smile that will make you calm, but that smile is her last message to us, a message that made us lost our mindsand a message that says, goodbye.

Voices of cries was heard, all men and women stood up from the ground, glared at the murderer, shouts of anger and curse rang wildly.

Sounds of groans and screams are everywhere, sounds of swords clashing are ringing, sounds of blood splashing are heard and sounds of heavy bodies falling are heard.

They killed some of us, we killed some of theirs, we fought against each other, but we still got defeated.

We survivors didn't get free, they put collars and chains on us, they locked us in a cage and we survivors became slaves.

Some of us have escaped, some of us are caught back, some of us became free and some of us still chained.

They sold us like a toys, played us like toys. tortured us like toys and they killed us... like toys.

I woke up, i look around and see where am I, it is still dark, then I remembered that I was already bought and was on my master's bed. I look at the sofa and saw my master there sleeping. I walked towards him with the blanket in my hands. I covered my master with the blanket to make sure he was not cold.

I went towards the balcony of the room, I opened the balcony door and entered. The cold breeze of the night rush pass me, I turned around to close the balcony door. I walked towards the railings of the balcony and look at the view.

I feel the cold air rushing pass me. 'So this is the feeling of being freed.' I said to myself.

'Is this the feeling that the escapees felt? Or it's just me who feel so... empty.'

I just stared at nowhere, waiting for something to arrive. Waiting for something that I liked very much since when I was a child. Waiting for something that I already forgotten, something that me and my family was always waiting for it to rise.

Then in the sky started to lit up with an orange hue. 'Is this the one that I was waiting for? What is this forgotten thing called again?' I asked myself.

Suddenly a warm coat was wrapped around my shoulders. "Are you waiting for the sunrise."

'Right, it was called sunrise.'

I turned around to see my master who was standing behind me. "Brother?"

"Did you wake up early just to watch the sunrise?"

"Kind...of..."

"In the future, you need to wear a coat first before you go out at this time or else you will caught a cold."

"Yes...brother."

"Look your hands are so cold, do you feel anything at all?" He said while rubbing his hands to mine.

I felt my face became hot when his big warm hands kept rubbing my hands. "Mm." I just nod my head.

"Good." He smiled then he ruffles my bed hair.

Together, we watch the sun rise. "The view was beautiful, right?" Master asked.

"Mm." I nod.

Little by little the dark sky was lightening up, the sun was already up in the sky. "Let's go, let's have our breakfast before we go to the church." Master said.

"Ok."

He took my hands and we walked out of the room. We walk and walk until we reach a room with a lot of chairs and a long table filled with plates, spoons, forks and knives, there are already people seated.

Then suddenly a man said in a voice filled with mockery, "Yo! Hiro! I can't believe that you will be the second babysitter."

"Shut your trap Kino." Master said then he took a seat and patted it. "Sit hear." He said.

"Thanks...brother." I sat at the seat and then master sat beside me.

"So this is the slave kid?" A tall girl asked.

Master looked at the girl and then he nodded and simply saying, "Yes."

"Hmm..." The girl looked at me and then patted my head. "Good job for making this idiot learn to like kids. HAHAHA!!!"

I was just there sitting stiffly, while the whole people who are in the room laughed at master.

"Hey prez! Don't talk nonsense to the kid." Master said slapping away the hand of the girl called prez.

"What I'm saying are not nonsense Hiro."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, now go back to where you sit now prez. Shoo." Master said while fanning his hands making a go back gesture.

"HAHAHA! Ok, ok." Prez wipe hear tears of laughter away and walked away and sat 5 seats away from us.

Then master looked at me and said, "Don't listen to them, they are just making fun of me."

"Yes...brother."

After that, maids with cart enters the room and placed the foods in the table. "Let's eat." Master said.

"Mm." I nod.

Then he put foods in my plate and I eat them, any food that master put in my plate will be eaten by me, while he choose food for himself too.

"Yup, Hiro became a babysitter now. HAHAHA" a man with glasses said.

"Shut up Kinro." Master said.

Prez looked at the Kinro guy and said. "Kinro, we are eating."

"Hai!" Kinro said and started eating.

After eating, my master brought me to a certain room and then he knocked. "Shion, I need some clothes for Jin, we are going to the church to see his status."

The girl from yesterday, the one who master called for me to have clothes, opened the door. "Yeah, come in." She said.

We entered her room, the room was quite spacious. "Sit there and wait for me, I didn't finish yet." She said and then she open a door in the left side of her closet inside her room and entered there.

My master and I just waited for her, we just hear some snipping and machine sounds coming from the room where the Shion girl entered. After 20-ish minutes, the girl Shion came out from the room holding some folded clothes with a brown boots on top of them.

"Here, now you can go out now." She said and handed the clothes over to my master.

"Thanks." Master said.

"Thank...you...sister." I said and bowed.

The girl patted my head. "It's nothing—" then she looked at my master. "—you can go now."

"Ok, sayonara*." Master said. {*'bye' in jap.}

Master and I left the room and then we went back to master's room. "Let's take a bath first before we go out." Master said.

"Ok...brother."

"Here go have a bath first." He said and then he handed me a towel and the clothes that Shion gave us.

"Ok." Then I entered the bathroom to have a bath. After bathing I wore the clothes and looked my self in the mirror on the bathroom. Green shirt with a brown shorts and a brown boots with a green like pattern in it.

I exited the bathroom and then master entered it to have a bath too. I waited patiently for master to finish bathing.
