Slumber Once More

For the majority of Derek's life a lot of things had changed. He had gone from being a baby, to being a child, and then to an adult. He had gone from having two living parents to just one, from talking face to face with his father to visiting his grave once a year. Those were changes that he could deal with. Changes that occurred in everyone's life. But there was one thing that had never changed for him throughout the years.

And that one constant in his life, was that Derek gave the orders, and people followed them. And by people he was not including his mother, the day that woman followed an order coming from Derek. They would be digging his grave that very day and burying him without question.

No one gave her orders. And apart from her, no one gave him orders. Which was why Derek was absolutely shocked to have his PA ordering him around, and not only that, for him to be obeying her without putting up a fight.
