Dressed To Kill

One of the first things that Emily had come to realize that she would need greatly if she were to survive as Derek Haven's PA had been one thing.

Adaptability.

That trait had come through for her on more than one occasion. When it came to events, be it a gala or a party, adaptability was Emily's friend, just as it was in that current moment. Instead of going straight home, Emily had gone shopping on Derek's card. Which was normally the case whenever she had to go anywhere with him.

But what he did not know was that whatever it was that he bought her when it came to going to social functions. Emily always found a way to make sure that it ended up being donated to charity. But that was neither here nor there.

What mattered in that moment was how she looked in her chosen attire for the night.
