There were certain things that just burned the soul. Though Emily did not like to admit it, she was a bit of a sore loser. As an only child, she had never really had to compete with anyone for anything. 

During all the games that she used to play in the park with her parents, Emily had always come out on top. Miraculously winning races in the last leg, despite the fact that she had much shorter legs than both her mom and dad. When it came to seeing who could throw a ball the farthest.
