Team Mikey vs Brooklyn Squad, Part 2

"Teach her some manners, sister!" Medusa cackles as she points to Jamie.

"Right," Mercury replies as she reaches into her pockets, pulling out sharp and pointy bits and pieces of metal, assumed to be steel. Mercury then aims her palm at Jamie, firing off an emission of her silver Cursed Power.

In response, Jamie shouts: "Adaptability: Iron Cloak," before bringing her hands up in a cross to defend, shielding herself from Mercury's attack.

But Mercury's Cursed Power has special magnetic properties to it, like Nick's electric Cursed Power, so Mercury's shrapnels of metal are attracted to Mercury's Cursed Power Emission, and begin circling around it and flying towards Jamie. Like Luis' Spirit Storm.

Jamie keeps her arms up to defend, as Mercury's shrapnels clang against Jamie's metallic body, metal on metal. Jamie grunts in distress as Mercury's sharp shrapnels begin to cut up Jamie's iron arms.

Mercury then rectarcs her Cursed Power Emission back to just her hand, which is bubbling with dull silver Cursed Power. Mercury then brings her hand into the air above her head, the sharpness of metal spiraling around it like a tornado, before sending them flying back towards Jamie again, with another Cursed Power Emission.

"Magnetic: Shrapnel Shot!"

Jamie brings her iron arms up to defend, Mercury's shrapnels clanging and slicing up Jamie's iron arms just as before. Slowly, Jamie winces as she trudges through Mercury's storm of shrapnel, ignoring the pain of the cuts as she inches closer and closer to Medusa and Mercury.

"I can't…hold her back much longer…" Mercury grunts as Jamie continues trudging through her Shrapnel Shot.

"You have just one job, you damn mutt!" Medusa shrieks. "So do it!"

Eventually, Jamie fully makes it past Mercury's Shrapnel Shot so that she's standing directly in front of Medusa.

"Adaptability: Iron Gauntlet!" Jamie shouts as she punches her iron fist forwards towards Medusa, but Mercury counters by retracting her Shrapnel Shot before swiping her hand towards Medusa and emitting her magnetic silver Cursed Power into the air, bringing her shrapnels back up again with it, and forming a steel shield between Jamie's fist and Medusa's face, before Jamie's punch can connect.

"Magnetic: Castle Fortress!"

Jamie grunts as she attempts to punch through Mercury's Castle Fortress, and Mercury grunts back as she struggles to keep her shrapnels magnetized together with her Cursed Power, keeping her shield steady.

"Good puppy!" Medusa swoons to Mercury.

"You sure go far out of your way to defend someone else," Jamie grunts.

"I saw your first match. You do as well, with your teammates," Mercury grunts back, causing Jamie to smirk.

"Maybe we're not so different after all," she says.

"But we are. You have a choice, I don-" Mercury begins to reply, but Medusa cuts her off.

"Don't say a word to her, Mercury!" She shrieks, causing Mercury to flinch.

Slowly, the force of Jamie's iron punch begins to form small cracks in Mercury's Castle Fortress.

"She's…going to break through…" Mercury grunts.

"If you lose, I'm turning you to stone!" Medusa shrieks again.

With a roar and one last push, Jamie punches through Mercury's Castle Fortress, which shatters, sending small bits of shrapnel flying everywhere, some of it getting lodged in Jamie, causing her to bleed.

"You let her through?! You useless fool!" Medusa screeches.

"Sorry, sister!" Mercury whimpers.

After breaking through Mercury's Castle Fortress, Jamie shifts her attention back to Medusa, and after being leaned over to her right from her right punch, Jamie turns to her left and brings up her other fist, launching it towards Medusa's nose.

"Adaptability: Iron Gauntlet!"

"Wait, please!" Medusa stammars, but it's too late. Jamie's iron fist slams into Medusa's nose, breaking it instantly and sending Medusa flying away, and landing in the sand below.

"That's one down," Jamie pants as she stands back up and turns to face Mercury again, seeing that tears are beginning to well up in her eyes.

"Huh?! Why are you crying, what's the matter?!" Jamie cries.

"I'm sorry…" Mercury softly whimpers.

"What was that?" Jamie frantically asks.

"I'm sorry…" Mercury repeats, as Jamie hears a cackle begin to echo from a nearby sand dune, and Jamie turns to where she hears the voice, seeing Medusa push herself out of the sand. Stone-gray Cursed Power begins bubbling around her eyes.

"Turn to stone!" Medusa cries.

"Huh? But I have my glasses on?" Jamie asks.

"You think something as flimsy as sunglasses can beat my Cursed Ability?!" Medusa smirks.

"But it didn't work at first-" Jamie begins to say, but she's cut off when she feels it. The cold, dryness of stone creeping up her body, and Jamie looks down to where she feels the coldness, seeing that starting from her feet down, Jamie…is slowly turning to stone.

Jamie gasps. She tries moving her legs as if to get away from the stone, but Jamie finds that she is unable to move them. Her legs are now nothing more than a statue, as the stone begins creeping up to Jamie's chest.

"Tricked 'ya," Medusa smirks when Jamie turns to look at her. Jamie then turns towards Mercury, and sees that she's now sobbing as the stone moves up to Jamie's neck. Soon, the stone moves up to Jamie's mouth, and Jamie finds herself unable to breath. And then…the stone creeps up to Jamie's eyes.

"PETRIFY!" Medusa exclaims.

And then…everything goes dark.

"I'll take you on," Austin says as he aims his assault rifle at Jin, firing off a volley of bullets.

Jin counters by hopping to the side in order to dodge Austin's bullets, before circling back around towards Austin.

"Jin's going to try to get in close, because his Shock Absorption Cursed Ability enhances the strength of his Cursed Power when he's hurt by physical attacks. He's going to try and force me into physical combat," Austin explains to himself as he hops backwards, firing off another volley of bullets to Jin's way.

Jin dodges by hopping to the side again, but no matter where he runs, Austin follows, keeping the barrel of his assault rifle steadily focused on Jin, releasing volleys of bullets in hope of keeping Jin away.

"I need to win this fight before Jin gets too close," Austin says to himself.

"Gunsmith: Grappling Hook!" Austin shouts as the Cursed Power assault rifle changes shape into a grappling hook. Austin fires his grappling hook at Jin, who attempts to dodge, but ultimately fails when Austin's grappling hook wraps around Jin's arm. Austin then begins spinning around in a circle, swinging Jin around and around, slamming him into nearby cacti and sand dunes. Austin then retracts the hook of his grappling hook in, pulling Jin in close. In his free hand, Austin then constructs a shotgun out of his glowing orange Cursed Power. Austin keeps pulling Jin in, and when he's close enough, Austin places the barrel of his shotgun to Jin's chest. "Gunsmith: Shotgun!" Austin shouts as he fires his shotgun point-blank in Jin's chest, sending Jin flying backwards and sinking into the sandy floor of the desert.

"BWEH!" Jin cries as he pushes himself up and spits out a mouthful of sand. "At least the sand cushioned my fall a little…"

"It must be difficult, being an Attacker in this terrain, no solid footing, no cover, just sand," Austin taunts as Jin struggles to push himself off of the ground. Not just because of his injuries, but mostly due to the fact that Jin has no solid fighting above the sinking sand. Austin then moves over to Jin as his glowing orange assault rifle morphs into a shotgun. Austin then kneels down in front of Jin, placing the barrel of his shotgun to Jin's forehead.

"Hey, isn't killing your opponents strictly forbidden in this competition?" Jin asks with a nervous smile.

"Don't worry. My shotgun won't kill you. It'll just...hurt like Hell and knock you unconscious," Austin smugly replies. "Now...eat le-'' Austin begins to say as he pulls the trigger of his glowing orange shotgun, but before he can fully press down on the trigger, Jin quickly reaches up and grabs the barrel of Austin's shotgun, pushing it up the sky, so when Austin pulls the trigger of his shotgun, his bullet harmlessly flies into the air. 

Next, Jin slaps Austin's shotgun out of his hands, causing it to dissipate back into Austin's glowing orange Cursed Power.

Austin turns over his shoulder and peers at his disintegrating shotgun before looking back to Jin and slamming a Cursed Power Barrier reinforced hook punch into Jin's jaw, who gleefully takes Austin's attack with a small smile, Austin's punch causing Jin's head to violently snap to the side. Jin then turns back to Austin and smirks.

"I'm an idiot sometimes," Austin whimpers.

Jin tilts his head backwards before snapping it forwards, heatbutting Austin in the nose and breaking it instantly, sending Austin tumbling off of Jin and flailing into the sand, clutching his bleeding nose.

Jin then grabs the collar of Austin's vest and spins around, slamming Austin back onto the ground of the desert arena and causing Austin to sink even further into the sand.
