MONSTER ATTACK

Two days had passed since Author had left the Castle and Xin had been waiting patiently while praying for both Author concerning his safety and the Duchess concerning her recovery.

The news had already spread that the Duchess was on a dying bed and it was caused by Dark Magic.

Everyone was hoping for her recovery.

Magicians visited the Duchess in order to break the spell but to no avail.

Xin was sitting at the side of her mother's bed, looking at her face wich had grown paler.

Suddenly anger was seen on her face and she left the room and went to another room.

A man could be seen tied up in this room.

Xin Moved forward and stopped infront of the man before speaking.

" You were a servant of this mantion under my father. He treated you well as if you were not his servant. But you stabbed him in the back just because of your lust. You wanted my father to give you his only child in marriage at a young age.

When you saw that your demands were not met, you planned to kill him but you failed.

you were banished from this Kingdom but here you are again with another crime.

Now tell me what you want this time." Asked Xin with a disgusted look on her face.

" I might be full of lust but the human race is full of doom. The one whom I work for will soon bring terror down on earth. hahaha" When the chained man said those words, he started laughing like a mad man.

Upon observation, Xin could conclude that this man was controlled by a powerful force taking over his mind.

" The boy you brought in your home has the very type of Magic that is killing your mum now." Said the Doctor as she stepped in the room.

When looking at the wounds of this man I could still sense the energy of dark magic."

The doctor said pointing at the prisoner.

Author had asked what happened to the husband of the woman whom he found out that her name was jane and who had also agreed to let Author stay in her home and after long contemplation, she decided to tell him.

" There are monsters that roam this forest at night, it is something we have never seen before.

These monsters landed in a strange round object wich came from the skies a few days ago.

After the incident, strange deadly insects and monsters started roaming this forest.

The night in wich the first flying round object fell,

our people fought bravely to defend our village from the monsters that came out of it but unfortunately, due to the fact that no one knew what they were facing and that it had caught us off guard, many died in the battle and my husband was one of them. And now more and more sitings of these objects have been seen around the forest."

After the woman explained this, she broke down into tears.

Author heard the story and he could not believe his ears. The story sounded like what was found only in fantasy stories.

" These Monsters, have you all tried to understand where they came from or what they want?" Asked Author.

" We use to have a crystal in this village wich contained magic powers. It was kept at the house of our leader.

He could activate the power of crystal to do great things like healing and other useful spells.

One night those monsters attacked this village and took it away. Since then they never returned." Replied the woman.

When the woman finished saying those words, screams were heard in a certain direction of the forest and a man was seen running towards the village trying to get away from something.

" They are here now everyone get inside." He said.

" Oh no.. why now of all times?"

All the villagers ran into their houses and shut their doors. When the woman who took Arthur into her home turned around, she saw Author just standing there not going anywhere.

" What are you doing boy, do you have a death wish? Please come inside now." said jane.

" You go. Don't worry about me I will be fine."

Arthur stood there lost in his thoughts.

' According to what that woman told me, I can conclude that they were after a certain Magic crystal and I believe that this crystal is another part of the one I am hearing.

Wether this is true or not, there is only one way to find out. "

At this point everyone was in their houses, scared to come out and they were looking at a boy standing outside alone not running.

Everyone thought Arthur must be crazy or very powerful to face such monsters alone.

Author removed the chain from his neck wich was already glowing brightly and held it in the air.

The man who was been chased down by the monsters was left behind and all of the monsters suddenly increased their speed heading towards Author.

' I was right.. They are after this crystal. I wonder why they need it so badly.'

Author ran towards his horse and headed at a random direction in the forest and all the monsters were behind him.

Author kept head forward to get as far away as possible from the village so that the monsters could not go back to hurt them anytime soon.

Back at the village, the leader of the village was in deep thoughts.

' Hmmm this boy reminds me of him. And to top it all he had another part of the crystal and the power to activate the it.

Only someine with blood magic can do it. Could this be his lost grandson?'

Author had arrived at an open space in the forest and decided to halt. He knew if he kept running, sooner or later he would get caught and too he never wanted to get lost.

The Beasts came and sorounded the area where Arthur was standing.

Author became confused when the beasts, instead of attacking him, they stood there doing nothing.

After a while, Arthur looked up and saw a round object heading his direction and he understood what those beasts were waiting for.
