Chapter 2

Adrian took the lift and went to the floor where his office was situated. He entered his office and was greeted by the staffs.

"Hey Adrian be careful there man Chief Karina was pissed when she couldn't find you." One of the staffs said in a low voice as he pulled Adrian in a corner. This person was a thin man in a formal wear with average height.

"Thanks for the info Mr Blaize" Adrian nodded with a smile.

They talked for a few moments and then Adrian walked towards his boss's room.

"May I come in Ma'am?" Adrian asked as he knocked on the door.

"Yes you may." Came the voice of the woman from behind the door.

He slowly pushed the door open as he entered the room.

In front of him was a desk which had multiple files, papers and a desktop at the corner. Behind the desk sat a gorgeous woman wearing a office uniform. She had a curvaceous body with a angel like face. Her hair was black in colour which was tied in a ponytail. Her eyes had hazelnut like colour and she wore a pair of glasses. She had Rosy red lips.

This was Karina Lee the Chief of the Arales textile Company and Adrian's boss.

Currently she had a frown on face as she looked at Adrian.

"So you are here at last huh." She said sarcastically.

Adrian could only look at her quietly with a downcast expression.

"Alright today I am in a good mood so I will not create an trouble for you" She sighed looking at a downcast Adrian.

Listening this Adrian perked up his ears and looked at her. This was a very rare moment when Karina wouldn't shout or punish the staffs if they made any mistakes or pissed her of. This could only mean that she got something beneficial for her or the company.

"If I may ask what happened?" He looked at her questioningly.

She smirked at him and passed a red colour file to him and said," Check this".

Adrian took the file and opened it to check it. After scheming through it he closed it and looked at his boss with wide eyes.

This file was a contract between his company and another multinational company. In this contract the multinational company would buy the product of their company and it was only possible because Adrian who sealed the deal with the chairman of the company whom he met coincidentally in a park and helped him out.

"Hehe you did good. You will get a raise in your pay and you might even get a promotion" She smiled at him while saying this.

"Thank you.... Thank you very much ma'am!!" Adrian said as he bowed his head at her.

"Alright alright. This is a joyous occasion and I have decided that today's work will be suspended and the holiday trip we were planning will commence." She said.

After that they discussed for half an Adrian came out of the office and Informed the employees about it. All the employees were delighted and cheered with joy. They also congratulated Adrian for his deed.

Everyone wrapped up their work and in an hour everyone were ready to leave. They left the office and came to the ground floor. In front of the building there stood a large bus. This was the company's bus which was used when there were holiday trips. Everyone got on the bus along with Adrian and Karina and started their journey. They were going to the sea side city were they booked a resort for four days. There were 130 people present.

There journey soon started. Everyone was enjoying the trip.

"Hah I am going to have a long rest" A pudgy man with a small height said as he stretched his body on his seat.

"Hehe Mr Nash really need rest after the hours of work and dedication." The woman who was sitting beside him said as she giggled a little. She was a brunette with a circular but beautiful face and a normal body.

"You are right Miss Carla" The now named Mr Nash acknowledged and nodded his head.

Everyone was busy either talking all looking outside of the bus as they enjoyed the scenery while the bus took various route.

At this time Adrian who was sitting in the middle row base the window seat was looking outside the window lost in his thoughts.

'Finally a promotion and a raise. Life seems to be moving nicely now.' He thought as he looked at the scenery outside the bus.

He looked up at the sky which had patches of cloud and looked beautiful as the sun shone brightly. He thought looking at the sky,' I hope you both are enjoying in the heavens, grandpa and grandma. I miss you both'

The longing feeling in his heart brought a tear in his eye. Karina who was sitting beside him and doing something on her laptop looked at him. She saw his tear asked quickly," H..hey Adrian are you okay? Why are you crying?"

Adrian turned to look at her and shook his head while he rubbed away his tear with his hand.

"It's nothing ma'am. I just remembered something of the past. That's all."

"OK but you should take some rest now and when we reach the resort I hope you enjoy your vacation. After all I will not tolerate any slacking off during work after the vacations" She said with a smile.

Adrian was enchanted looking at his beautiful boss smiling like this. He blushed a little and remembered that she was quite a beauty with a smoking hot body. Even though she nagged him and made him overwork from time to time, she was not behind praises. She would always praise those who had done good work and even raised the pays of those exceptional work.

"Y...yes ma'am." Adrian nodded his head at the beautiful boss who was looking at him.

After this he talked with her for sometimes. Everyone was busy in their own talks or work when suddenly the sunny sky was filled with heavy clouds.

"Wow what happened to the sky?" A woman with a stylish fashion said as she looked at the sky. Everyone followed her suit and looked at the sky. They were also surprised to see that the sky which was all sunny was now overcast with thick clouds.

"What the....."Adrian could only say this when he saw something in the road.

At this moment, a bright light shone under their bus as time seemed to have stopped. The brightness increased so much they it looked like another sun was on the ground.

Slowly the light died down and the bus crashed at the side of the road. But the most amazing thing was that it was completely empty.

Everyone present in the bus had disappeared into thin air after the light died down.

There was absolute darkness, a void completely devoid of light. At this moment a change occurred into it as a speck of light appeared into it. Slowly the light expanded as the void lightened up. As the light died due multiple shapes could be seen floating in the void. There were 130 shapes to be exact and they looked like humans.

"Where am I?? Why can't I see anything?" One of the humanoid spoke in a panicked voice. Soon following him the other humanoids started to speak. They were all the employees of Arales textile company along with Adrian.

'What is going on? Am I dead?' He thought. He couldn't see anything but hear the panicked voices of the other employees.

" All the chosen ones have been gathered" Came a voice from all the direction.

'Is this all? I can hear that there is 5 million candidates here. Does this mean our group is not alone?' Adrian thought.

'Who is it?? Is it... God? Damnit why can't I see anything' Adrian was annoyed by this.

"It's because we have 5 million candidates that we're able to find this many chosen ones."Another voice came.

'What is going on? What the hell are they talking about?' Adrian thought.

"Transmit the systems to all the players now" The second voice coldly.

"Are you we can do it like this? Doesn't it seem too artificial...?" The second voice said in a paniced voice.

"It serves enough as motivation and assistance in judging there situation. Since that is something already tested with the previous chosen one." The second voice answered.

Listening to the discussion between the two Adrian could feel that something was seriously wrong. He could also listen the panicked discussion of the employees

".....I understand. Commencing system transmission." The first voice said.

Suddenly the voice shook as Adrian and the others could feel extreme pain in their mind and body. They screamed and cried.

'Urgh... What is this pain. It's like my mind and body is getting torn apart ' Adrian thought as his body shook with pain.

"Commencing dimensional transportation" The first voice said as everyone present in the voud could feel their bodies being pulled by a terrifying force.

Soon the void calmed down as all the humans have disappeared from it.
