Aaron watched as Alec held the supposed 'Arm of Legends' in his hand, flipping it up and down like it was a stick. It did have decent spin movement, so Alec found it mesmerising. He realised after about thirty seconds that he probably shouldn't be spinning it and caught it firmly in his hand, stopping it from rotating anymore. He took a good look at the arm and wondered what to do with it. It had a nice white shine on it, almost like somebody cleaned off all the dirt and made it look like an artefact of olden times.
"You know, you could always just hand it to me, and I could give it to you whenever you need it, for purposes that I am unsure of." Aaron reminded him, letting Alec know some DEFINITELY crucial information.
Alec walked over to Aaron, handing him the supposed 'Arm of Legends' with a smile on his face. "I trust you to hold on to this for me, Aaron," Alec stated, letting go of the bone, dropping it into Aaron's outstretched palm. "Keep it safe."
Aaron swapped the bone into his other hand, looking at Alec as he shoved his arm up into the portal. We're definitely going to see that arm later on.
Yeah, definitely.
Aaron looked over towards Monument, who just shrugged, unsure of what Aaron should do right now, but knowing Aaron, he was about to do something over the top. Aaron began laughing like crazy as he realised a thing he could do now that he had Alec's trust. He decided to mess with his head. Aaron floated into the air, scaring the shit out of Alec. The skies got dark as clouds of thunder covered the previously blue sky.
Rocks started floating from the ground as water rose from the earth. Fire sprouted from Aaron as lightning struck him, only adding to the fear of Alec. "What the?! What the hell?!" Alec yelled out, falling to the ground, crawling away as he looked at Aaron. He then felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around, scared as all hell. He saw Aaron there, and he let out a scream before looking back towards where the other Aaron was, only to see it gone.
"It was an illusion, Alec. I can create illusions and make them real for everyone. It's so funny because I just walked behind you, and you were scared out of your mind!" Aaron explained while laughing. He hadn't actually felt scared in a while, but watching other people be scared was hilarious to him. Although the part about his skill being the ability to create illusions was a lie, he could certainly do that with the technique he showed Alec.
Boundless Telekinesis is one hell of a drug.
"You have some strange sense of humour, Aaron..." Alec commented as he slowly lowered his heart rate. He didn't expect something like that to happen so quickly. "You know, I probably have a really twisted sense of humour," Aaron admitted, confirming Alec's suspicions that he wasn't mentally stable, at least to him. "After all, I found watching you get so scared hilarious so that probably isn't a good thing."
"Aaron, just asking this question out of curiosity, but are you mentally stable?" Alec asked, trying to figure out how wary he should be of Aaron, just in case any future events transpired. "Honestly, probably not, but there is the chance I'm super-sane, and it just appears like insanity. I don't know." Aaron responded, unsure of how to answer the question other than semi-deflection.
Aaron walked over to Monument, leaving Alec on the ground, whispering something to him, although Alec couldn't tell what. He had barely noticed the armoured man throughout his time here. The armoured man was just quiet, always watching. He watched as the armoured man gave him a whispered response, which Aaron appeared to agree with. Aaron walked back over to Alec, his arms slack.
"Hey Alec, I'm going to show my third ability, which is probably my scariest one. If you're up for it, just let me know. If not, just say so." Aaron told Alec before walked a little bit away, leaving Alec to think. Alec wasn't sure whether he wanted to see something that Aaron confirmed to be scarier than the illusion. After about twenty seconds, he decided on his answer.
"Aaron, I would ask you not to show me your third ability. My heart probably wouldn't be able for it, and I really don't feel like dying today." Alec stated, being as neutral about it as he could. He did not feel like dying today. Aaron sighed a sigh of relief as he turned towards Alec. "It's good to know that you will stay truthful to me. There is no third ability. It was just a test. If you had said yes, and I thought you were lying, I'd know you couldn't be trusted to tell the truth." Aaron responded, lying about the outcome. If he had said yes, he was going to absorb Monument with God-Eater for the shock reaction.
"So, there was no ability? You did it as a test of my trustworthiness?" Alec asked, trying to figure out everything he had said because some words just didn't go through. "Yup. That is exactly what happened." Aaron confirmed as Alec looked up towards him with kind intent.
"Well, at least I know I can be trusted. I'm surprised at the way you went about it, but if it works, it works!" Alec stated with a smile on his face. He was looking at the positive side of things.
Back in the city of Spert, a group of people sat around a table in a room of darkness as a bulky, light-skinned man walked inside. He dropped a stack of money on the table before explaining something.
Listen up. We've been told by the boss that we need to find Alec Conway again, and we are to do it by any means possible. You know what that means. It's time to pay them a little house visit."
