After Charlotte finished her hearty lunch, she felt drowsy and sleepy. She went over to sit on the chair beside Rory's bed and held her hand, kissing her knuckles a couple of times. Rory stirred a little in her sleep but did not wake up.

Charlotte smiled, looking down at her sunshine. Now that her daughter was well enough, she felt very light hearted. That was all she could ever wish for, that her daughter was fine and safe. Nothing else mattered to her.

Still holding Rory's hand, Charlotte started humming a song. She thought trying to sing some songs for her sleeping daughter would serve as a distraction to prevent her from sleeping. Little did she know she was going to sing herself to sleep.

Her head leaned on the head of the bed while her hands still held unto Rory's hand as she slept. It had been a good long while since she last had a proper sleep.
