Chapter 57: Dribble and Repay the Money

He Zhiyao's brows were slightly furrowed.

He watched Qin Shuang in silence without saying a word.

He thought she had forgotten about it since it wasn't mentioned these past few days.

But he was caught off guard by her bringing it up out of the blue.

Facing her gaze like that, He Zhiyao felt inexplicably irritable.

He pinched her phone and casually tossed it onto the bedside table next to them, making a faint sound.

"Can you tell me?" Qin Shuang looked at him, afraid he would skirt around the topic again, and stubbornly asked once more.

He Zhiyao looked away, replying impatiently, "What else could it be for? It's all about money."

Qin Shuang's fingers twisted the duvet, and tears fell without warning.

It was as if her long-restrained emotions, triggered by today's events, suddenly couldn't hold back anymore. Qin Shuang raised her hand to wipe away the tears but for some reason, she just couldn't stop them.
