Jazmine got annoyed when she ran out of things to say. The only response she could come up with was, "That's my enemy we're talking about, and revenge can only be exacted by me. A man who appeared out of thin air wanted to degrade him. It's an insult to me."
She chose to use that instead because she needed to appear as if she only cared because it was her enemy, and not because it was Giancarlo.
Kody only looked at her quietly, not really commenting on her nonsense.
But he can see right through it. It was clear as day that Jazmine continued to care about Giancarlo, but also he knew that he was unable to get past that hurdle in her heart. Such warped emotions are the most exhausting, and it would continually torture themselves to death. As he snapped out of his thoughts, he immediately repeated , "You listen to what I'm going to say first. Last night, the whole night rather, Atticus didn't go back to the room, but went out to have a carnival with people."
