Beta testing

Uhh... Yesterday was a very, very, very confusing day. Every people I know are acting weird. They're not being their usual selves, and are all acting like a different spirit had possessed them.

Mark, who is technically against my "Sighing" habit... Is now placing a sigh almost every start of his sentence. Xeno, a shy and shady person is now literally asking every girl out that's in his vision. Miku who was supposedly a huge bully... Is now behaving like an angel! Aldrich, a guy who always surrenders finishing the novels he started, turned in to an all-nighter, and a dedicated person towards his passion which was writing. And Gaia... Nothing actually changed about her, she wasn't acting weird and is still normal.

Still... My male friends are... Gaahhhh!!! I guess they decided to change for good. Though, if you ask me... Mark and Xeno's changes are a bit of a reverse to what they once opposed.

Setting all those morons aside, I promised to go to the park with Xeno. Sigh... I can't be laying in my bed for a whole day or else my body might feel numb. I do have assignments, but I'll manage to finish all of it later. It's still Saturday, and to be honest... assignments will only be a burden to me if I kept on thinking about it.

Today, I will clear all the thoughts I kept on piling up lately. I promised to my self that I will have a fun day today, and that promise shall never be destroyed. I changed attire whilst waiting for Xeno's call. He eventually called after I finished changing and told me that he's on his way.

I said "Bye" to mom, and promised not to go back late. She nodded and waved her hands. I left our house and headed to the park where Xeno told me to wait.

When I arrived closer to the park, I saw Xeno looking around and when he saw me, he called my name and waved his hand. Gosh, since when did this guy got a lot of confidence? There is literally a lot of people staring at him, but seems like he doesn't care at all. Tsk, this guy changed for good. I can't believe that all of them can drastically cleanse their selves in under a day or two.

"Ascrid, let's start our stroll by buying some ice cream from that cafe over there." Xeno told me and pointed his finger to a nearby cafeteria. "Yeah let's go, my treat." I responded to his request. His eyes sparkled and immediately pulled me towards the shop.

We entered the cafe and went straight to the counter. "So? What flavor would you like?" I asked Xeno who was staring at the display board above the counter. Sigh, I could clearly hear him reading, "Vanilla... Chocolate... Double Dutch... Rocky road... Blueberry?!!!! I want the Blueberry flavored ice cream!"

Yup, as expected, He'll pick whatever is color blue. Anyways, Blueberry it is, "Ummm, miss... Can I have one Blueberry ice cream and also one of that --Spectre Vanilla-- thing." The lady managing the orders nodded and told us to wait. Xeno and I sat down on a table waiting for our order.

While waiting, Xeno talked to me. "Aldrich really wanted to go with us, but he had a deadline for his works. I really wished he could've came." He said. Yeah, It's nice having that guy around. He has his own way of socializing, which I kind of liked about him. Kind of ashame that he has a work to finish... Wait... Since when did he have a deadline? Is he making a deadline for his works?! That's a nice improvement if you ask me.

"Well, I'm really looking forward to read his works. I wonder what's the novel his currently working on?" I said while imagining how great his novel will be if he won't give up so easily like before. Xeno nodded and said, "I think it's called --Temporary betrayal--"

Woah, Interesting... I really want to read it once he finish making it. Setting Aldrich aside, our order arrived and just like I said, I paid for Xeno's ice cream and mine. Xeno kept looking at my ice cream. It seems like he's curious to what it is.

"What's bugging you Xeno? Are you wondering why this is called Spectre vanilla?" I asked him. He nodded and waited for my answer. I licked the ice cream once before answering him, "It's called Spectre vanilla because of it's color. It's a bit grayish but it still has a strong white color like a ghost. I don't know much about this thing, but I'm pretty sure that this is a mixture of pulverized chocolate cookies and a lot of hardened cream."

Xeno nodded and gave me a satisfied smile. He cleared his throat and started to talk, "Woah, as expected of Ascrid. You're very knowledgeable about this type of stuffs. So, eating three plates of cake is a part of your --Food knowledge-- training?"

Eyy?! What the! Why did you have to bring that up. I sound like a glutton if you say it that way. Sigh... I can't hide it anymore, I am indeed a glutton but not too much. Tsk, I just stared at Xeno while finishing my ice cream. He ignored me and just kept eating his own.

We left the cafe and started heading towards a nearby food stall. While we were walking, I saw Gaia in a distance. I want to call her and accompany us, but I'll stick with Xeno for today. I kept on walking, trying to ignore Gaia. While I was minding my own business, I felt an "evil" presence closing in, in my position. I looked behind and saw Gaia following us. Xeno also looked behind and when he saw Gaia, he greeted her, "Good morning Gaia!"

"Good morning!" I also greeted her. Gaia smiled and then literally hit me with a plastic bottle. "What is wrong with you!!!" I shouted at her. To be honest, I have the right to be mad at her. She literally hit me with a bottle and it hurts a little. She giggled and gave me a ferocious glare, "You saw me, but you didn't call me... Tsk, tsk, tsk."

Her serious side is quite scary, I feel like I'm mentally tortured because of her tone. "Uhh... Ummm... I, I was busy walking, that's why I didn't call you." I reasoned my way out. I thought I was safe, but she stared at me more menacingly. "Aagghh!!!" I shouted inside my head.

"You gotta believe him Gaia. I'm taking him with me because he's been acting weird this past few days." Xeno defended me. Gaia was convinced and then stopped staring at me. I owe Xeno a thanks, but hey?! I'm not the one acting weird, they are the ones who are.

Tsk, let's forget it. After a little "misunderstanding" with Gaia, she asked us if we'll allow her to join us. I waited for Xeno's judgement, and he eventually agreed to the idea. I was planning to spend the day with Xeno, but having a girl like Gaia can be a bit more fun.
