Heaven's eyes slowly fluttered open, and she let out a heavy gasp as she regained consciousness. She looked around, confused, and disoriented, trying to remember what had just happened.
She saw that she was back in her bedroom, her familiar surroundings bringing her a sense of comfort. She tried to sit up, but a sharp pain shot through her head, making her groan in pain.
Memories of the werewolf flashed through her mind, and she shuddered at the thought. Was it all just a dream? Or had it really happened?
Heaven hurried downstairs, hoping to find some answers. She saw her aunt sitting on the couch, smoking a cigarette and watching TV. "What happened to me?" Heaven asked, her voice trembling.
Her aunt looked up at her with a sneer. "How should I know?" she said, blowing smoke in Heaven's face. "I just got back myself. You're always getting into trouble. You're becoming more and more of a burden to me."
Heaven felt a lump form in her throat, tears welling up in her eyes. She knew that her aunt hated her, but hearing it spoken out loud still hurt. "But...I don't understand. How did I get back here?"
Her aunt rolled her eyes, stubbing out her cigarette. "I don't know, and I don't care. You're probably just going crazy like your father did. I don't want any part of it."
Heaven felt a wave of despair wash over her. She had always felt like an outsider in her own home, but now it seemed like even her own aunt didn't want her around. She stumbled back up to her bedroom, feeling lost and alone.
The pack of grey werewolves gathered around their king, Asher. His eyes were glowing with anger, and his voice was low and menacing. "That white-haired werewolf keeps on interrupting our plans," he growled. "I won't tolerate this any longer."
The other werewolves nodded in agreement; their faces twisted with rage. They had been planning for years, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. But every time they tried to make a move, the white werewolf would appear and thwart their efforts.
"We need to get rid of him," one of the werewolves said, his voice laced with malice. "We can't let him stand in our way."
"There's another reason why we need to get Heaven," he said. "I must have her as my mate. Once we're married, I'll be able to shift into my human form whenever I want."
The other werewolves looked at each other, unsure of what to say. They had heard rumors that Asher was obsessed with the idea of obtaining a human mate, but they had never seen him act on it before.
"But how will we get her?" one of the werewolves asked cautiously. "Aside from the white-haired werewolf always watching over her, she's always surrounded by humans."
Asher's eyes narrowed; his determination evident. "I will find a way," he declared. "And I will not stop until she's mine."
"We'll help you, my king," one of the werewolves said, trying to appease him. "We'll do whatever it takes."
Asher nodded, his lips curling into a cruel smile. "Good. We'll start by gathering information. We need to know her every move, her every weakness. And then we'll strike."
"What about the white-haired werewolf?" another werewolf asked, his voice laced with concern. "What if he attacks us?"
Asher's face twisted with fury at the mention of the white-haired werewolf. "If he dares to interfere again, we'll show him no mercy," he snarled. "Even if it means breaking one of our most sacred rules. We'll behead him and end his interference once and for all."
The other werewolves exchanged uneasy glances, knowing that it was highly forbidden in the werewolf world to kill a white-haired one. But they also knew that Asher was determined to get what he wanted, no matter the cost.
"Understood, my king," one of the werewolves said, his voice trembling slightly.
Asher's eyes gleamed with satisfaction. "Good. Now let's get to work." The pack of grey werewolves dispersed, determined to carry out their king's orders and claim their prize.
The white-haired werewolf lapped at the cool, clear water of the creek, his wolf form reflecting in the ripples. As he looked at his reflection, he couldn't help but wonder if he would ever see his human form again.
He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. He couldn't dwell on such things now. There were more pressing matters at hand. The grey werewolves were becoming bolder, and he needed to keep a watchful eye on Heaven to make sure she was safe.
He let out a long, mournful howl, his voice echoing through the forest. It was a cry of defiance and warning, a message to the other werewolves that he was still around and watching them.
As he continued to howl, he felt a sense of freedom and release. In his wolf form, he didn't have to worry about his human responsibilities or the complications of his life. He could just be a wolf, running free and wild through the forest.
Heaven's heart was racing as she stood frozen in place, her eyes darting around as she tried to see through the darkness of the forest. The howl she had just heard had sent chills down her spine, and she couldn't help but wonder if it was the grey-haired werewolf king and his pack coming to get her.
Heaven's hands were trembling as she fumbled with the locks on her front door, making sure they were all secured. She then ran to every window, pulling down the blinds and double-checking the locks. She couldn't take any chances. She had to make sure she was safe.
Once she had finished securing her home, she curled up in a corner of her living room, her back pressed against the wall. She tried to calm her breathing, but her heart was still racing with fear. She couldn't shake the feeling that something terrible was going to happen.
As she sat there in the darkness, she couldn't help but wonder how she had gotten herself into this situation. She
didn't know how to make it stop.
