21. Small Revenge

On his road towards the training ground. He knows that his cousin was very angry.

Hoseki is thinking a numbers of reasons to explain his prank towards Kakashi.

He really confidence with his reasoning and his acting, he will calm Kakashi down.

By the time he reach the training ground, he saw Kakashi was waiting for him.

He walk slowly and stand in front of Kakashi.

Hoseki was growing up with Kakashi. Even though he was born the same year as Kakashi, he really takes him as elder brother.

While Kakashi is a man of small amount of word he understands him a lot by looking his eye expression.

When he saw slant smiling eyes of Kakashi, all his acting plan and reason was gone to smoke.

He directly on his kness accept his wrongdoing. "I was wrong. Forgive me... Nii chan"

Seeing Hoseki in on his knees and accepting his wrongdoing, Kakashi cool down a bit.

But, the moment 'Nii-chan' word come out, all his blood goes berserk remembering the annoying stuff he had through.

Kakashi clenching his fist and throw a punch toward Hoseki.

"Kyaaakkk." Hoseki shock by sudden attack

" Nii-chaaaannn!!!"

" As an older brother you should show me magnanimity" Hoseki pleadings

"You force me!!! " Hoseki decided fight back.

" Let have battle to death!!! "

" Kyaaa. I'm so sorry. Niichan"

After long time fighting with Kakashi, Hoseki pleading for forgiveness again.

While he was able to fight on equal with Kakashi, Hoseki feels like his cousin never know when to stop.

Different from sparring, Kakashi hits was heavier as if he didn't hold anything back in showing his anger.

Kakashi knows very well how strong and sturdy his cousin is. Holding back his strength is a waste.

Meanwhile, Hoseki was really frustrating. The moment he slowdown or lost his concentration Hoseki was beat down.

As he tried to run, Kakashi was chasing him all over the village.

That morning Hoseki and Kakashi was having child 'life and death' battle until evening.

Hoseki and Kakashi were lying down side by side on field with heavy breath.

"Revenge, I will take Revenge. As older brother you showed me no mercy and magnanimity." Hoseki swore to take his revenge.

"Come and try if you dare."

"And we were born on same year. Stop calling me Nii-chan." Kakashi remind him again.

"I shall show you my revenge. It's not going to be far." Hoseki promised.

"Nii-chan, I am hungry. Lets get some noodles." Hoseki sit up and call for dinner.

"Lets go then." Kakashi was cool down and accept the idea.

The next morning, Hoseki and Kakashi went to academy like nothing happened on the day before.

Weeks went by. He was on same routine. Hoseki had decided to learn fundamental rules and regulations of fuinjutsu under the guidance of veteran teachers.

As he learned more, he realized that taking a shortcut learning from Kushina might not the best choice.

Kushina might have a lot of knowledge of fuinjutsu. But the knowledge itself didn't guaranteed he or she would be the best teacher.

While Kushina really fascinating about his talent, she ignore the fundamental rules as a teacher. She needs to be more strict and assertive when comes to dangerous part of the knowledge.

Meanwhile, the teachers in the academy never swayed by his talent. When it came to dangerous part or idea, they will stop him immediately and pull him back to the core rules of knowledge it self.

In other words, any knowledge and new idea he had are not allowed to be passed to certain level. While it looks like an oppressive act, Hoseki felt being pressed to back the basic is good for him.

He always found new things which never seem important when he first learn them.

Nonetheless, the academy teachers were really impressed by Hoseki learning ability. Even though they never showed their shocks, they always discuss about him.

They glad that none of them are teaching him alone. If any of them did, they assured that he will give up after few days.

They feel that the boy really learn fast and to pull him out from his unconventional thinking method, they always have discussion at the end of lessons.

Sometimes, they were at their wits end to reason with the boy. As last resort they always randomly push down some philosophy on the basic knowledge to shut him.

As an ignorant of the methods, Hoseki is really thankful for the teaching.

Weeks goes on. One day teacher told him that he was called to headmaster office.

As he walk to the office, he wad wondering why he was called for.

Upon reaching the headmaster office, a notification rang.

[Academy Headmaster office (3star)]

[Sign in Academy Headmaster office?]

"3star huh? I'm hoping for 4star. Sigh."

"Sign in"

[SIGN COMPLETE]

[You have received scroll of knowledge (5star chef)]

[A steel seed fragments is obtained]

[A blood pack(AB) is obtain]

"The last one!" Hoseki eyes shone as he saw the items he gets.

In past weeks, Hoseki went to all blacksmith shops and weapon shops in the village , to find steel seed fragments. In spite of that, he can only find 14 out of 15 of the seeds. After the 14th seed, no matter which shops he went, Hoseki never find the last fragment.

The only thing he got repeatedly were the Iguana. Yes, the iguanas was coming back on his (sign in) streak. He already stacked 19 iguanas in his storage. They drove him insane as he had no used for it. He wonder if the iguanas is replacement for the 'thank you' notice as he refused to sign in 1 star places.

Whatever they are, Hoseki is happy when the last piece of fragment is coming out.

"You are not coming in? "The headmaster voice is heard and snap Hoseki out his happiness.

He realized that he still in front of the headmaster office door.

He threw out the thought about the fragments behind him and enter the office.

" Greetings headmaster. Sorry for being late." Hoseki greeted the Headmaster.

" Hoseki, I will get straight to the point. The graduation exam will be held in 3 months. Do you wish to enter it?" the headmaster didn't wasted his time and asked.
