Outside the courtyard, it seemed like many people could feel Ye Chen's thoughts and nearly all turned to look at him at once, their gazes filled with envy and jealousy, shining as brilliantly as if it were light.

In the crowd, one individual muttered, "That guy is just a silver demon who tricks women. Why do so many gorgeous women have a thing for him? Not only are they all beautiful, but they also rush to offer him their first blood."

While the discussion bubbled outside, inside the villa courtyard, Ning Rongrong leaned against Ye Chen's chest and pointed at Dugu Yan, Shui Bing'er, and the other women, teasingly saying, "With so many people wanting you, you've got to want to keep them all, right? Zhu Qing and I wouldn't mind at all."

Her words struck the crowd into silence. Outside, everyone paused their chatter, curious about who Ye Chen would choose among his many admirers, or if he would try to keep them all.

"Ahem, Rongrong, what are you on about? They're just here to assist. I pick Dugu Yan and Shui Bing'er."

Ye Chen wore a playful smile, knowing how delicate of a topic this was. With so many people around, he made sure to say it loud and clear.

This caused a stir in the square, igniting new discussions.

A man with a crew cut looked at the six women behind Shui Bing'er, drooling as he remarked, "What a waste! Those six might not be as breathtaking as the others, but they're still pretty good. Ye Chen is such a fool; if I were him, I'd take them all!"

A long-haired guy next to him replied, "Come on, you're not Ye Chen. Scoring even one would be a huge accomplishment for you. Wanting six? That's just a fantasy."

At this, a bald man burst into laughter, rolling his eyes at his friends. He added, "Hahaha, haven't you all realized? If Ye Chen doesn't choose, then we might get our shot! All those top-tier beauties could be a wonderful catch for someone."

The crew-cut guy responded, "They're beautiful, but didn't you hear Xu Bing say they've all been with Ye Chen? You still want them?"

The long-haired guy agreed, "Exactly! There's plenty of other fish in the sea. We're young and can choose from many."

The bald man patted Cheng Liang's head and said innocently, "At 26, are you still relying on your hand? Can't you find a girlfriend? Is it really that tough for you? Anyway, I'm off!"

As soon as he said that, the others jumped in, "Hey, bald guy, wait for us!" showing they were eager to follow.

Back in the villa courtyard, Ning Rongrong playfully hit Ye Chen's chest, pouting, "You really went for it, Ye Chen. You're driving me nuts!"

After chasing him off, Ning Rongrong glanced at the blushing Dugu Yan and Shui Bing'er, noticing the deep feelings both had for Ye Chen.

"With the misunderstanding cleared, we should take our leave now."

Shui Bing'er, flustered and avoiding eye contact with Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing, hurriedly guided her six companions back toward their villa.

Dugu Yan didn't linger either. Once she left, she sat dazedly on a nearby rock in the woods, occasionally giggling to herself like a smitten girl.

After a few moments, Flander, Tang San, and the others came over. Spotting Hu Liena, Xie Yue, Yan, and Xu Ning behind Ye Chen immediately put them on high alert.

"Who are they? They have strong soul power," Flander asked in a hush, but Ye Chen simply waved his hand, saying, "We'll discuss that later; I have some personal matters to handle first."

Turning his focus back to Xu Bing in the square, Ye Chen approached with a smile that concealed an underlying threat.

The intense look in his eyes made Xu Bing's skin crawl. Struggling to rise, he fell to his knees before Ye Chen, hugging his leg and pleading, "I'm sorry! I overlooked your worth and wronged you. Please, have mercy and let me go. Spare me, and I can offer you wealth, power, women—anything! Just don't kill me!"

Overcome with emotion, Xu Bing's nose began to run, and Ye Chen kicked him down with a grimace, replying coldly, "I gave you a chance before, but you didn't take it."

Xu Bing, now desperate, suddenly changed tactics, laughing maniacally, "Hahaha, you won't kill me; you're too afraid! I'm the Fourth Prince of the Tian dou Empire. You, a mere captain of the Wuhun Temple student team, think you can take my life? Even the elders of your Wuhun Temple would have to bow to me as the Fourth Prince!"

As he wiped his nose and flipped Ye Chen off, he taunted, "Are you scared? My identity surely frightens you! Hahaha, if you dare to kill me, my father will send troops to wipe out the Wuhun Temple. You won't just die; even the Holy Emperor will have to join me in hell!"

"Are you finished?" Ye Chen cracked his neck, amused, and when Xu Bing finally paused, he grinned, "If you're done, then prepare to die."

With that, Ye Chen bent his fingers, conjuring a sharp white sword light between them, ready to strike Xu Bing.

In an instant, a large hand seized Ye Chen's wrist, and a voice warned, "You can't kill him. Even if the Fourth Prince has made wrongs, it's not your place to overstep. His mistakes don't warrant death!"

"Let go!" Yan promptly appeared by Ye Chen's side, glaring at the man holding his wrist.

Tang San stepped forward as well, positioning himself protectively.

Looking at the duo, Ye Chen couldn't help but chuckle, "Let me ask you something, Xiaogang: if I were weaker and found myself at the mercy of the Fourth Prince, would I stand a chance?"

"Chances would be slim, but there's always a glimmer of hope. I wouldn't let the Fourth Prince harm innocents; I'd fight for your survival."

With righteous indignation, his Xiaogang spoke as if all the world's logic was on his side.

Ye Chen tilted his head back and laughed heartily, "Hahaha, a Level 29 Great Soul Xiaogang, and you think you can truly protect me?"

A cold gleam flashed in his eyes. Ye Chen suddenly exerted pressure, releasing the condensed sword light.

Xiaogang and Tang San tried to intervene but were helpless as the small sword light shot straight through Xu Bing's head, splattering bits of brain matter onto the ground.

"You really did it, haven't you realized?"

Seeing Xu Bing's life slipping away, Yu Xiaogang shouted angrily.

Ye Chen, however, merely shrugged dismissively, showing no intention to engage further. He turned to Tang San, offering a reassuring pat on the shoulder: "My Master once said that each person has their unique path. If you want to catch up to me, don't be constrained by others' views. Strive to carve out your own way."

After saying this, Ye Chen looked at the crowd of over a hundred, now shocked by the Fourth Prince's death. Clapping his hands, he addressed them, "I know you all suffered under the tyranny of the big yellow dog. I'm one of the victims too. To put an end to this, why don't we join forces?"

As the crowd slowly shook off the shock of Xu Bing's demise, they were reminded of the oppressive big yellow dog that had almost slipped their minds.

Xu Bing's death was solely linked to Ye Chen. With him unafraid, those backed by the academy felt emboldened and began to rally, shouting loudly, "Yes! Let's find that beast, the big yellow dog, and take it down together!"
