Promises. Plots. Pregnancies.

Klaus Mikaelson and Caroline Forbes were married a few weeks later, in the local church. The ceremony was followed by a meal supplied by Mikael.

He and Klaus had rekindled their relationship, and became unhostile because of Caroline.

Caroline Forbes looked amazing in the white net dress and flowers braided into her hair. Elijah Mikaelson was happy to see his brother complete.

"Well…Here we are." Klaus Mikaelson opened the door of the house he, Elijah, and Henrick had made.

Even Kol helped. But Finn didn't. He always pouted and criticized the woman Klaus was marrying.

"After you, Mrs. Mikaelson."

Caroline smiled.

"That is an interesting necklace." Caroline saw his bird necklace for the first time as he opened the doors.

"This?"

He pulled it off.

"It's yours." He gave it to her.

"No..Nik, I can't take it." She told him. "I can't…"

"What's mine is yours." He put it around her neck. "And…I want you to have this."

The necklace with the bird at the end was given to him by his mother, Esther Mikaelson.

He thought she had given it to him so he would know that she was always there for her.

But, the real reason was to weaken him. So, he wouldn't unleash his animal side by killing.

Or, she would unleash it, so he could kill her tyrant husband, and she would be free of Mikael forever.

Caroline looked at the necklace.

"Well….Thank you." She told him.

"Always welcome." He smiled.

Caroline went inside to see the house.

After a few months, Caroline Forbes took to the bed. She was extremely sick. Nobody suspected anything since she was pregnant. But, Esther was extremely worried. She knew, once Caroline gave birth. The wolves, especially Ansel, would be attracted to their side of the village. If any one were to spot the wolves near Klaus's house would realize that a wolf lived there…..Or maybe, two did.

Mikael pushed her more and more every minute to cure Caroline. And the wolf bites on his sons.

She finally succumbed to him. She performed the most powerful spell anyone could imagine. She went to the forest to gather some herbs,

"Esther?" Ansel looked at her, "What brings you to the forest?"

"Ansel?" She turned around. "Niklaus's wife is sick, and two of my sons have wolf bites. Apparently, they take longer to heal."

"What?" Ansel was shocked. "Niklaus got married? How could you not invite me to my son's wedding?"

"You know why you weren't invited!" Esther picked out some herbs. And left, ignoring Ansel.
